My dad is hardworking. He’d provide us with things we need. When he cheated on mom, my love for my dad didn’t crumble but I hated him and I started appreciating him less.

When he and mom separated, we went to my grandmother’s and he was left in our house. My father lives alone and we’d only stay there every weekend. Sometimes, we don’t. It became our routine. I never really thought about the condition we were in.

Whenever he’d call, I’d always halfheartedly answer it or sometimes ignore it at all. And when we’re talking on the phone, I’d always talk to him in a monotonous and quite irritating voice. I was ashamed of saying ‘I love you too’ to him when we’d cut the call. I was ashamed of him, I had no choice.

One time, everybody was talking about this Korean movie about a mentally disordered father and his little daughter. Out of curiosity, I watched it. The next thing that happened, my tears were flowing non-stop throughout the whole movie. It was the most heartbreaking family movie I’ve ever watched. While watching, I couldn’t stop thinking about my father. That’s when I felt sorry for him.

My dad is living all by himself and I don’t want to imagine what crosses his mind whenever he realizes that he’s alone because I feel sorry for him. Nobody wants to be alone. I don’t want him to be alone.

My dad made mistakes, he made wrong decisions that greatly affected his life, but that doesn’t mean that I love him less. I am what I am because of him. He sheltered me, he raised me and gave me the love that completes my being. I am proud of him despite the wrong things he did.

Hello daddy,

Thank you for everything you’ve done for me and my brother. You’re not getting any younger and it makes me sad that I have less appreciated you because of what you did before. I was mad because I was looking up to you and more. You were the man I trust when it comes to love, trust and loyalty, but I was mistaken and it shook my world, my dignity. Even so, your mistakes made me realize a lot of things. It somehow gave me maturity with the way I think.

Thank you for the love, for everything you provide us with. I love you so so much, we will always be your kid.

Tomorrow is our university’s first day of classes and I’m quite excited to start it because this semester will be my last as I’m expecting to graduate after this semester. I thought that I’ll make the most out of it.

For the first day of classes, these are the basic things to have:

Index Card - Most professors would ask you to get a 1/4 or 1/2 index card for his/her copy of your attendance.

Pen or Mechanical Pencil - Or whatever pen you prefer to write with. I usually use a mechanical pencil for taking notes (bc my handwriting is really different when I use a ballpen) and a ballpen for the exam proper and signatures when needed.

Yellow Paper - Aside from the index card, some professors would ask you to get a piece of paper especially this one in 1/4 for you to write down your basic information for him/her to get to know you.

Notebook/Binder - First day of classes does not mean that your professor would really start teaching at the first day. You’ll need your notebook/binder to write down the name, consultation time and contact number of your professor because one way or another, you’ll need it.

Sketchbook - This may not apply to most people but I do bring a sketchbook to school to use just whenever there’s nothing to do or while waiting for the professor or just to pass the time. Without my sketchbook, I feel incomplete.

1x1 Photo - Anyone must always bring a 1x1 photo for the first 2 weeks of school. Not all professors will remember you so they’ll ask you a copy of your photo and this is most likely attached to the index card.

Paper Fastener - You wouldn’t know when this will come in handy. *wink* I have a Kangaro Poket 10 Stapler that I bought last year which is super handy.

This essentials depends from person to person but I’d just like to share mine.

Inclusion of enrolees to full sections starts tomorrow and I’m partially nervous yet excited to find a schedule that will be okay with me. Since the online enrolment had a limited available sections, I decided to not reserve subjects online since the available schedules are night classes. The current traffic situation in Manila is devastating, that’s why I’m working to get a schedule not later than 6PM. But if there really are no available schedules, then I’ll halfheartedly stick with the night classes since I only have 3 subjects to finish. /sigh

Oh kami-sama, I finally tried purchasing Adobe PS CC just because the trial period expired and Idk how to crack it again. This is my first online transaction for buying things and the first time I used a card-- My mom’s card for crying out loud! (With her permission, of course!)

Originally, I planned of doing a fanart tonight but I remembered that the trial expires today so I tried googling how to crack it and I ended up closing the application which led for it not opening anymore. smh

Out of desperation, I asked my mom if I can use my card (extension of hers) for buying PS then she agreed! Thank goodness! So now it needs to reinstall but our internet connection’s sucking the patience out of me. - A -

Ta-dah! Kurosaki and Teru <3

After being on hiatus from reading manga, I finally got myself back together and went back into reading manga after a few years omg! Now my heart is racing and I feel so empty bc finally, finally, finally.. I have finished reading Reimei no Arcana and Dengeki Daisy. I have re-read it from the start to relive the feelings I once felt when I started reading the two manga when I was in high school! The reason I stopped and forgot about continuing was bc the two manga were ongoing and I just couldn’t wait to read the next chapters. But now that I’m done with the two, it left me feeling empty. It’s actually heartbreaking than my last breakup with my ex.

A video clip has been circulating the web since yesterday. It was Karen Davila’s interview with Alma Moreno who is running for Senator.

I haven’t seen the video until today, as it surfaced on my Facebook newsfeed again. I’ve seen my friends share the video and added their short comments about the said interview.

As I am watching Karen Davila throwing in questions to Alma Moreno, I felt embarrassed for her. The whole interview was really awkward and Alma’s answers sounded like a showbiz response. She laughs at some questions and even asked Karen if she really has to answer the question regarding the Reproductive Health Law. Figuratively, my mouth fell open at the whole video. Alma has made the interview a showbiz-kind of thing and it isn’t entertaining at all.

The video clip that’s circulating Facebook was a fraction of the whole interview where only the issues about the country was asked.

Running in Senate

Alma Moreno has been active in the show business since 1973 until today, where she takes minor roles. Alma isn’t a novice in politics yet she showed that she really isn’t fit for the bigger picture. From being a city councillor to a senator is a huge gamble. She might lose for the second as she did the first time.

On the interview, some would think that Karen Davila was being harsh on Alma but I think she is not. Being Karen Davila, it is normal to question any presidential/senatorial candidate about the recent issues in our country as she is a host. The mass has to know what these candidates are rooting for and what they think of the issues. I would think that Alma didn’t come prepared. Or she didn’t know all too well about the issues of the country?

As a candidate running for a senator, one must be aware of all of the issues of the country and has the ability to give a solution. Even a normal person would know and have the best solution, yet wouldn’t run in senate.

I do not think that Alma Moreno is capable and suitable to run as a senator if this kind of interview has made herself look dumb in front of the netizens. She bestowed this mistake upon herself so she must make a stand and save herself.

We need someone who can provide possible solutions to an occurring issue and stand up for it, not someone like Alma Moreno.
