Xiao Mei was on the outskirts of town, waiting for the kids she often visited to finish setting up the targets for her in the little field the group of them had found. She was sat on the ground as she waited, counting her arrows. She looked up at the children as soon as she heard footsteps coming nearer and stood up. “Are they ready?” she asked them kindly. The three of them nodded and pointed to the targets, which were three pieces of, over-ripe, fruit on top of three posts.
