this would all land harder and mean a whole lot more if gww hadn't consistently treated Harley like garbage outside of some nice words here and there. like she has moments where she seems to remember the character she's writing "she's the only human who matters" but the outlandish actions she writes Ivy making never align with those messages.

and don't get me wrong, I have little doubt that harlivy won't make up by the end of it all, but tbh given Kalan and gww's lack of ability to write these emotional / romantic aspects of their comics even just adequately, it won't feel earned. nothing that happened is going to be handled in a way that's satisfactory, this won't have given Harley trauma or triggered Joker flashbacks, it won't have made Ivy take a good look at herself to see how she's fallen, it'll be brushed under the rug exactly like the cheating shit was in #24 & #39.
