Ok I used this as a reaction image but now I'm thinking about it and feeling ill. She was 13 years old and locked in a cell for a month while being interrogated by the captain of an army about her friends who she didn't know if they were alive, dead, or even in the same world as her. She refused to give up any information and had to use the same set of skills she used growing up in a dysfunctional environment to keep herself safe and then this captain comes to her with what's undeniably the shoe of her best friend, confirming that she's in the same world, but not if she's safe/alive. And she can't show any kind of reaction because she doesn't yet know if the captain famously known for being cruel is going to hurt her or her best friend. I think we often forget how absolutely terrible Sasha's introduction to amphibia was just because she later bonds with Grime. But don't forget that she probably thought she was going to die in that cell and was unbelievably scared.

#she 100% thought she was going to die in there and she still refused to tell them anything about her friends #she knew they could have tortured or killed her for information and she protected them anyway #don’t EVERRR tell me sasha waybright was just using anne and marcy or didn’t love them with every fiber of her being #the FIRST THING. we learn about her as a character. is that she has spent her whole imprisonment protecting her friends #don’t piss me off #sasha waybright #amphibia
