#374.5 - Instead of blood, these metallic Pokemon have a powerful magnetic force that courses through their body that both enables them to float, as well as communicate with other Beldum by sending controlled pulses of magnetism. As Beldum get older, they begin to look for a mate to fuse with by sending out a unique magnetic pulse. The connection between fusing Beldum partners is believed to be romantic, as they only respond to a Beldum with a pulse that calls to them, and as a result, mate for life. The joining process is disorienting, and it is a testament to this Pokemon’s intelligence and psychic power that it can effectively fight during this time.

#375.5 - Rather than a romantic connection, mature Metang seek out a strong rival to fuse with. Once one Metang finds another which feels mutual respect, the two battle, and the winner will be the Metang that will be on top during the fusing process. The other will be slowly absorbed on the bottom. Because of their experience evolving as Beldum, Metang remain strong fighters during the joining process. Once fully joined, the resulting Metagross, possessing four brains, will be more intelligent than a supercomputer.

#137 Baby - Born from cutting-edge research of its day, Porygon are manmade Pokemon whose bodies are the physical manifestation of binary code. Unlike most Pokemon, Porygon are artificially created in labs, and are often overseen by humans rather than their fellow Pokemon. Prone to glitches and unintended effects, newly created Porygon may need to receive code patches from scientists to iron out any unexpected issues. As Porygon age, their relatively simple code becomes more complex and self-sustaining. 

#137.5 - Created from extensive research, Porygon are Pokemon that consist entirely of programming code. These Pokemon are capable of moving freely in cyberspace, can revert themselves back into program data, and do not need to breathe; however, they are only programmed with basic motions. Due to their artificial nature, Porygon require the aid of human interaction to evolve. After they have access to a code upgrade and a power source, Porygon go through several rounds  of “buffering” until the download is complete.

#233.5 - Porygon2 are endowed with artificial intelligence that enables them to expand past their initial programming and learn new gestures and emotions on their own. These man-made Pokemon have been designed to evolve when additional software is added to their programming; however, strange computer viruses have been observed to cause the phenomenon as well. The Pokemon often acts erratically while processing the changes to its system; reports state that the resulting Pokemon is often unstable.

I am so serious when I say if you want to learn about light, you NEED to at least look at modeseven’s tutorials. even if you’re not pursuing a painterly style, this is all essential theory that can be easily adapted to different coloring styles. notice how none of these ever say ‘light with these colors and shade with these colors’? notice how this is teaching how light works on a mechanical level, and reminding the audience to adjust the actual colors they choose by context? THAT is good advice.

you can make them more simple or more real, however you want! hands are weird, so don’t worry if they keep looking wrong for a while, once you figure out what works for you, it’ll click. If you practice like 10 or-so basic hand shapes, you can make slight variations on all those, and 10 turns into 20 different hand poses~
