For Mother’s Day, my wife and I put together a scrapbook for her mom featuring photos of every pet they’ve had over the years. There were a lot. Some of the pictures were in pretty rough shape and needed a bit of touch up work to get them print-ready. A few of the cats didn’t have any photos available, so I was able to pull still images from old VHS tapes from when Amy was a baby. Overall it turned out really well, and we’re sure she’ll love it. In total there were 3 dogs, and 14 cats.

Sick new PC build for my wife Amy. Since 2019 she was using a pretty cool Alienware R9 PC but it was starting to have trouble keeping up with newer games like Hogwarts Legacy at max settings. She wanted to make an upgrade but not spend a lot like with the Alienware. So I offered to make some upgrades like with the GPU and RAM. Well then suddenly the big RAM shortage crisis hits earlier this year, and I'm out making some deals buying and selling pieces of her old computer for upgrades. I flipped her RTX 2070 and purchased a newer RTX 3070 as a replacement. I also sold off her old pair of 16 gig RAM for an upgraded RGB set at 32 gigs. Here's where the problem hits, alienware motherboards are particularly selective of what parts they will allow, even parts as simple as a case fan. Long story short there was no way we could reuse the alienware so a custom build with a new case was really all we could do. One of my friends was kind enough to donate a motherboard and spare power supply he had just laying around in his parts bin for this build. With that I was able to also transition from Intel to an AMD CPU. So now my wife has this fully decked out dual screen command center of a PC for playing The Sims, Dead by Daylight, and Hogwarts Legacy. Also at the request of my wife it had to have a Bluray burning drive and card reader. How else will she play classic Windows 98 CD games on this thing and transfer them to her Steamdeck? Plus I only shorted out and fried a HDD, RGB controller, and the RGB fans once during this build. I am a little rusty, the last time I did a PC build was 2011. I'm so glad I game on my Mac, instead of suffering through hardware builds, I just suffer through compatibility layers and getting Windows games like Age of Empires II Definitive Edition to run on my M1 Mac.

Went on a digital dig this week into my archives and I sure found some gold. This all started when I wanted to pull some period correct images and videos for upload to my PSVita. I already did this with my PSP and a collection of highschool stuff. I soon realized that I didn't have any college content collected and backed up to my Google photos. So the dig into an old 2014 MacBook backup file, Facebook, and Tumblr began. This is just a highlight, so enjoy. @whatthevoid @merrymissmeow @shad17 @crimes-wears-goggles

Been a busy couple of years since my last post. I've been diving back into some retro consoles that were popular during my time in college. The Wii U and the PSVita both have robust revival/hacked software to bring back their full functionality. So much so that I can order Domino's pizza with the Wii U and have it delivered within 45 minutes. Also I got my first 3D printer, and the first thing I have it makes is a bust of my friend Randy. He...loves it. Also my Dad is now in a care facility as his health is deteriorating after a stroke on New Year's, but he's still doing pretty well for an 88 year old. His house/my childhood home is now emptied out and ready for renters. His car, which was my first, the 2000 Volkswagen Golf is now in the care of Randy's Dad. It's been a very busy few years. I couldn't do any of it without my wife Amy ♥️

A little late, but it's time for next-gen gaming. My 30th anniversary PS5 arrived!

The wax and penny is still there behind the column in our old spot at Kendall.

So we got married💍, well we did back in October all thanks to Eric our online certified officiant. Also thanks to Megan for being our photographer and shooting it on 35mm film. After the wedding we spent two weeks in San Francisco.
