I can't stop seeing the parallels, someone tell me I'm not crazy please, because I've been saying this arc is so damn relevant and Endo bringing up their fight in Keisei street feels extremely important narratively wise.

And also, this damn panel is haunting me, from the same damn arc, we're going full circle and I feel like a conspiracy theorist

Nothing in this manga is simply a coincidence I fear, but also, I keep saying, Suo has plenty of slave related stuff, like his dream being the emancipation of slaves, his bday being national serf emancipation day in China and his surname literally meaning thick rope or chain. Need I say more, Nii-sensei is very thoughtful when picking names and I've talked about sowing the doubt by having Suo be a Chinese redbud (rebirth, coming of spring...) which often gets confused with a Judas tree (betrayal), it feels extremely well chosen if you ask me.

THE PITT (2025-)

i feel like the visual storytelling is really supporting that in a few ways; we're not accompanying robby into private, quiet moments anymore, we don't see his flashbacks and the way they affect how he treats the people around him in their aftermath, we're not seeing him try to stay calm & collected for other people's behalf.

and as robby's behavior likely becomes more erratic and angrier as the day goes on, as he pushes the people that love him further and further away... it's going to be interesting to see if the show frames that kind of breakdown. because it's just as much of a mental health crisis, but it's a significantly less easy one for the audience to sympathize with when the show is keeping us at arm's length.
