was talking with somebody the other day who said princess peach was COCKY and they hated her… said that she shouldn’t have rejected mario on the moon in odyssey and that she basically barely helps or does anything and expects everything on a silver platter

The way my poor girl gets villainized by people who do not know the series... those parodies and """theory videos""" really did a number on people's perceptions on these characters.

it’s actually so frustrating I was ranting about this early and it’s like… yes Mario characters are deeper than most people think, but they are still relatively basic characters. If somebody is somehow misinterpreting Peach this bad I wonder how they’re doing with other media analysis 🤷‍♀️

I would also like to say that Mario's proposal might have actually WORKED had it not been within five feet of a demon who was rubbing his marriage with Peach in his face for an entire game, but because Bowser pushed him, Mario got pushy, and yea Peach turning him down was absolutely the best thing she could do there. If I were in that situation, I would probably reject him too!
