Saw a random Cornley hcs ask, that inspired me to dump all of mine, so here we go:
-I feel like Dennis is an absolute beast at karaoke, because he can see the words in front of him and music makes it easier for him to remember things. Plus, in the Nativity episode, he had a KILLER set of pipes
-Max is very emotionally attentive, and doesn't like to see his loved ones upset, so when weeding planning was stressing Sandra out, he took on a lot of the burden himself. Turns out, he is privately quite a sophisticated boi.
-Linked the last one, I feel like he was quite close with his aunt (the BBC one) growing up, so that's where his excellent taste in fabrics and floral arrangements comes from
-The actors of Cornley help with the design aspect of shows, particularly pre- and post- Play of the Week on account of their significantly lower budget. In my head Vanessa is great with the costumes and while she was a stagehand during PPGW (bc I firmly believe that Bry was actually Vanessa at that point, 3 years before she was invented), she was also the costume designer who kinda got roped into stagehand work on the side
-Coming back off of that, me and my friend had the idea that when Max gets overwhelmed, he likes to sew, to calm down the racing thoughts (ADHD Max ftw) so him and Ness are kind of the costume dream team (Max and Vanessa is a duo I rarely see these days, but I feel like their contrasting personalities could work well yk?). Ness is more involved in the design aspect of things, bc if Max was given creative control, he would likely cover everything in sequins or make them wayyyyyy to gaudy for whatever play Chris is putting on.
-Speaking of which, (if Max and Ness are costume dream team, Johnathan and Annie (as well as Trevor ofc) are set dream team, but these guys are more assembly than design, I feel.
-This might be a tad unpopular, but I do feel like Trevor doesn't really have much to do with set design. Assembly stuff, sure, but I feel like as a fandom we vastly overestimate Trevor's competence. I love my boy, but there is NO WAY he is designing AND building all of that single handedly. Particularly, some of the more complicated Play of the Week ones, as well as stage CCGW, which was canonically outsourced.
-(Another product of my conversations with my friend) Chris Bean is a known lover of opera, ballet and classical and a very secret lover of disco.
-Also, Trevor claims not to love theatre, but we as a fanbase have collectively decided that is wholly incorrect. I could genuinely see Trevor being a bit of fan of Blood Brothers. I've heard it described as the musical for people who don't like musicals, and something about that kind of fits him ig? I feel like parts of it would hit quite close to home being from Liverpool and I know in my heart how much that boy hates Thatcher. Plus, when I went to see it, they did quite a lot of stuff with the lights and I think his former lighting op self would enjoy that. After once admitting to Chris that it was his favourite show, he offered to put the musical on (and if you want to see Christrev here, I will not stop you) but Trevor vehemently declined, knowing that he absolutely COULD NOT deal with Cornley's feeble attempts at Scouse accents for the best part of three months without blowing a fuse.
-When Trev and Annie eat out at restaurants, occasionally one will propose to the other, as a joke. Annie likes the attention and the giggles and Trevor likes the free desert. Win-win situation you know?
-In his search for friends, Dennis accidentally became a couple's third. He had no idea that's what he was getting into, and they were quite understanding when it dawned on them that he did NOT understand what he was signing up for. In a sense, however, it did work and he is still good friends with the couple today.
(This has mainly become a Dennis, Max, Annie and Trev post ig. I promise I love the others too and have lots of thoughts on them too :))
