Mischief Movie Night In 2020-21 as Headlines

I’m thinking of watching “Hull School Musical” first (cuz my partner’s suggestion was featured in that) and then probs watch the whole MMNI series from the very beginning, starting with “Lasers & Quasars” (I’m assuming that’s the first MMNI “movie” to kickstart the whole series, and if it isn’t do let me know lol)

Also bonus question(s) : how many series of MMNI are there + which episodes would constitute as Series 1, 2, 3 , 4, etc etc? Just curious is all!!

I have lots of favorites but my top favorites are "Now Museum, Now You Don't", "Ipswitch It Up", and "All I Want For Christmas Is Zoo"

Now Museum, Now You Don't - the first midnight show! and I watched it live with a friend which made it even better - love the songs especially Easily Convinced Man and the ending title song - the callback to TWELVE YEARS TRAINING THAT MAN. I also watched From Russia With Gloves (where the joke originated from) live with the same friend (who is not a Mischief fan) so it made me really happy that the only two mmni shows they watched were connected through this joke haha - SCHLUM - and Oscar's first cameo in a show! shoutout once again to the ending song bc I love how everyone joins in - even Oscar!

Ipswitch It Up - again amazing songs - Physically is one of the best songs ever - genuinely one of the best mmni storylines in my opinion - that ending had me tearing up! - also time travel! love a good time travel show haha - I am usually not a fan of the romance plot in mmni shows but I love Marissa's and Samantha's relationship so so much - Simon's clangers! also I love that little blanket moment btwn Dave and Niall so much - also shoutout to that cutaway to Dave and Niall laughing in the sidelines - and of course Shields's very very questionable choices throughout the whole show haha

All I Want For Christmas Is Zoo - again the songs! (if a show has great songs then I am almost definitely going to like it haha) - special shoutout to I'm Evil - Bry KILLED that song - I'm a hedonist, I'm an arsonist! - also the fact that it was Bry's show!! definitely my favorite Bry-centric show haha - CHRISTMAS BONANZA BOY - the return of Harry vs Jon haha - and more of Shields's questionable unfamily friendly decisions haha

I guess officially there are currently six series of mmni: Series 1: Lasers and Quasars through Cat in the Habit (Dec 2020) Series 2: Careless Whisper through Light Over the Rocks (Jan 2021) Series 3: The Quest for Escape-a-lot through Fraud of the Blings (Feb 2021) Series 4: Over the Henge through The Day Harry Got Cut In Half (July 2021) Series 5: Hull School Musical through The Tur-Key to Christmas Joy (Dec 2024) Series 6: The Bourneville Identity through Ghouls Aloud (Jan 2025)

The dates are from when the shows were performed/filmed. Not when they were released.

This idea came to me a while back when I noticed that whenever I discussed Ipswitch with friends or showed them a clip, they would always favor Marrissa.

This got me curious if it was the same over here, so here's a little bonus poll:

the biggest hightlight was watching Shields go down in flames LMAO

jokes, the real highlight was 'Physically' and Sue Harrison's sweet rap skills!!!!!

I mean, those run-on rhymes?? we love to see it!!!!!!!

also, Sue just straight up naming all the lads as women was such a power move lol

oh and Niall having the funniest rhyming night lolol

the iconic: "the time is now, you're here by a bridge / here in the town of Ip-puh-suh-witch" - Niall

probs why Dave decided he'd roast the hell out of Niall in this one LOL (it's ok tho because Dave's other character becomes the sidekick of Niall's character Simon so he's not lonely!!! :') lowkey v wholesome tbh lol)

except for the one song Harry features in, where he just tells another character to shut up XD

oh and that brief dance break that Harry started in 'Physically' which ended up being a showcase for Shields' random party trick of being able to do the worm?????? who even is this willowy man????????

speaking of Shields, we do have to acknowledge the absolute clanger of a night that man had PFFF LOL

so much regret visible on his face lmaooooo (thank you and mad props to the camera team for showing it XD)

I mean, there isn't much more to say except reference the 'smoke a pipe' rhyme - if you know you know (and you probably know XD)

and of course: "Are they upset? Are they upset?! You know what I'm upset about?!? I'VE RUN OUT OF COCAINE!!!!" - Shields

but fr, despite the chaos of this one, it actually has one of the sadder endings of a Mischief Movie Night In, so we absolutely gotta applaud Sue and Josh for carrying the emotion in this one
