my new apartment is on the third floor. i’ve ben in a rough patch and to cheer me up she gave me dirt nearly 2 weeks ago and a large box planter. a week ago she gave me plant clippings and some roots i’ve been keeping in water for 4 days, and some pots and seeds.

today i had the energy to get started, i filled up the planter with the dirt and watered it. i forgot i live on the third floor, and my door is not next to a path on the ground level, it is next to a balcony. on the third floor. the water went over the balcony. i panicked. someone is gonna shout at me about the flowers. someone is gonna slip and fall.

the pavement below is still dark (it’s been an hour at least) and the railing below is still wet. the neighbor opposite me has a doorbell camera. i want to kill myself. i have lived in this “new” apartment almost a year and i can’t believe i forgot i live on the third floor. of course the water would go over the edge.
