Pick Up Lines as Geraskier
Jaskier: Do you have a bandaid?
Geralt: Yes. Why, did you hurt yourself?
Jaskier: I scraped my knees falling for you.
Geralt: âŚyou got into a fight again didnât you.
Jaskier: thatâs besides the point
Jaskier: Do you have a map?
Geralt: Jaskier. Iâve just about memorized the pathâ
Jaskier: Because I keep getting lost in your eyes.
Geralt:
Jaskier: Do you ever get tired of running through my mind all night?
Geralt: No, but I do get tired of putting up with this bullshit youâre pulling.
Jaskier: :â)
Jaskier: If you were a cat, Iâd spend all my nine lives with you.
Geralt: Cats hate witchers.
Jaskier: can you not just let me have one moment-
Geralt and Jaskier had just made their way outside Oxenfurt, where they decided to meet up for the year after winter. They spent several days there so Jaskier could finish up the semester by grading finals and bidding his students farewell. In that time, Geralt was figuring out something of his own.
Apparently, during the semesters he taught, Jaskier spoke very highly of Geralt. Not in the sense of how he did in his songs⌠the professor talked to his friends about Geraltâs attractiveness and personality, and how much he loves it.
Before they left the universityâs grounds, Geralt met one of Jaskierâs closest friends, Priscilla. She was very happy to meet him, and immediately began ranting about how much Jaskier talked about Geralt (all the time).
âI donât know if youâve figured this out by now, but he loves you very much.â Geralt stiffened at Priscillaâs words. A sad smile twitched onto her lips at his reaction. âCan you say the same for him, witcher?â
Geralt shook his head, ridding the memory from his vision. Priscilla was right, and he hadnât quite realized it until she explained. He planned to form some sort of confession after leaving Oxenfurt, and now was the perfect time.
Geralt slid off of Roach, then wrapped a hand around her reigns. Jaskier gave him a funny look, and stopped playing his lute, switching it to hang on his shoulders. âAre you alright, Geralt?â
If Geralt had the ability to blush, he would, but his nervousness remained in his amber irises. âYour hand looks heavy, let me hold it for you?â
Jaskierâs mouth parted in shock, but he was quick to wrap his hand around Geraltâs free one. Geralt gave it a little squeeze to show he was being dead serious. âItâs not so heavy anymore⌠is it?â
Geraltâs lips twitched into a smile. âNo, no it isnât.â Their fingers intertwined, and remained that way until they reached a stopping point in their journey.

I just wanna remind everyone that Amazon's commercials are 100% propaganda. Sure, they have benefits and maternity leave. Sure, they get a minimum of 15$ an hour now. But.
But do you know how much of Amazon's warehouse workers are actually Amazon employees? Only about 60%. And that's not during the holiday season, when the number of contractors is exponentially higher.
I've worked in a distribution center. For every 30 pickers or packers, there is at least one manger. Those managers are all Amazon employees, meaning the remainder there is gonna be mostly contractors. Again, this is especially true around the holidays. When I worked there in 2017, the contractors had a three strikes rule. Call out for a shift more than three days (not consecutive, just three days any time at all) and you're fired. You have the flu? Fired. You lost your childcare? Fired. You have no transportation to work? Fired.
A truly horrifying number of warehouse employees were living out of their cars, sleeping at the truck stop across the road. A fellow EMT on duty was so incompetent that he gave a hyperglycemic man a candy bar and made him so sick he could have died. They will require their managers to 40 hours a week (over a 3-4 day period), but the second you cross into overtime territory you're made to leave the building or else. A manager once left in the middle of an active medical emergency because she was going to hit double overtime if she didn't, and she didn't want to lose her job.
Amazon is not an ethical company. They do not treat the vast majority of their employees well, not even their managers. I was an EMT on call in a distribution center and every morning a manager came in with steroid cream he needed put on his head because he was losing his hair from the stress. He wasn't even 30 yet. They do not give reasonable accommodation for disabled persons. They do not allow adequate rest times. They make every single employee clock out before they go through security upon leaving, which can take up to 20 minutes because everyone leaves at once. A Supreme Court justice literally decided that was legal--to hold employees in the building on time they aren't being paid.
Amazon is fucking bullshit. The price gouging alone should be enough to not shop with them whenever possible, but their treatment of warehouse employees is despicable. They treat the backbone of the company like worthless, replaceable drones. Fuck Amazon, fuck Bezos, eat the fucking rich.
Edit: OK to reblog
criminal minds | extreme aggressor
early criminal minds (seasons 1-5) is so fucking funny if you think about it from the perspective of literally anyone that the BAU interacts with outside of each other. to recap whatâs going on, letâs go over the team. Weâve got:
Elle Greenaway- murderous bitch who maybe murdered someone in cold blood (claimed self defense but who can prove that?)
Spencer Reid- a genius with both mommy and daddy issues who looks like a fourteen year old TA and does magic tricks whilst, at some points, zooted off his ass on dilaudid
Jason Gideon- man who screams at crime scenes and lays down in blood stains
Derek Morgan- calls their tech analyst like âugh mommy shove that nice hot information down my throatâ
Penelope Garcia- the aforementioned Information Mommy, who talks to the team (specifically morgan) like a phone sex operator trying to make enough to cover rent
Jennifer Jareau- bubbly blonde woman who yells at TV reporters and kicks ass
David Rossi- rich, elderly, famous crime novelist who DEFINITELY should be retired
Emily Prentiss- goth lesbian who DEFINITELY has cursed folks out in one of the many languages she knows
Aaron Hotchner- tired workaholic man, trying his best to hold this shitshow together, also beat a man to death
like, can you IMAGINE??? itâs the worst week of your life. Some madman is running around, i donât know, killing folks and cutting off their nipples or something, and this absolute clown brigade rolls up like âah yes, just another Tuesday for us lmaoâ and start asking you questions about what kind of dirt this murderer had stuck to his shoes, and then they SOLVE THE CASE???? what the fuck must you be thinking at that point
Olivia
My last pickup of the day the other day was for someone named Olivia.  It said to pick her up at Sonic by the mall.  Ok cool.  Off I went. New Message from Uber-Rider has updated their location- new location, Sonic by the mall.  Umm⌠thatâs what it already said. Whatever. The app is glitchy sometimes, though it always gets me there eventually. Then I get a message asking me if she has to meet me where I am (four miles away).  Umm⌠no, honey, I am on my way I just had to make a u-turn to head in your direction.  I figured she was new to the app.  So we chat a bit via the app at red lights and make light of the question and the quirks of Ubering and I have her LOLâing already so I know it is going to be a fun trip.  She casually mentions Wendyâs.  So I ask her where she is and she confirms that it was indeed Wendyâs (which in fairness is next to Sonic).  I get there and she is nowhere to be found.  I wait until just before Uber starts charging for wait time and I message her.  She thought sheâd had time to run to the pharmacy and was almost back.  I immediately started the ride on the app so that it wouldnât charge her.  I know what it is like without a car (and I know what fast food pays⌠and it isnât âcharge me by the minuteâ money).  Finally she shows up and gets in and I instantly liked her.  And not just because she dropped the F bomb in her very first sentence (talking about the heat).  We chatted up a storm all the way to her drop-off location.  We talked about struggling and how hard and just absolutely defeating life gets and how you have to treat everyone well because everyone else is struggling too.  We talked about how Wendyâs is still paying her less than $9 an hour while new hires are making $11.  We talked about kindness and empathy and the increased importance of both as the pandemic starts to wear on us all and we did it all while listening to Lizzo, so it was definitely a memorable ride (and a welcome change from my usual rider-friendly fare).  It was a sharp contrast to my next passenger, who couldnât stop talking about his private plane and backyard racetrack as I took him back home because he had driven a boat from his home to his friendâs.  But I digress.  Olivia was easily the nicest and coolest passenger I have had yet.  She even told me if I show up at Wendyâs during her shift that sheâs got me covered.  I got her work times and those of her boyfriend and told her I would try my best to be in the area during those times. I also told her that if Uber said I was her driver, I had better not find out she walked to the pharmacy when I could drive her there.Â
Finally, we turned onto her road and it was somewhere Iâve never been.  It was maybe two turns off the main road, yet it was like driving into a completely different world.  Five structures, spaced fairly close together, made of grey, drab cinderblock were all that laid before me. No cars, no signs of people, just these buildings. A single red ball laid beside the road, the only color on the street, which was devoid even of grass in most spots. From the back seat I feel a tap on my shoulder and she is giving me a five-dollar bill.  I know she needs it more than I do in this moment, but I also know from our conversation that it matters to her that she gives back where she can, so I take it.  And I was genuinely grateful for it.  And the next ride, when Mr. Private Plane tipped me $25 (which was very kind), I realized that the value of money is indeed subjective.  Not just because we attribute value to goods and services arbitrarily, but because there was no doubt in my mind that the $5 I received from Olivia was worth far more than the $25 from Captain Racecar.

people hurt me before, but i can be gentle with myself now. when i let myself cry at beautiful things, when i smile at little kids, when i feel the warm sun on my shoulders, i'm saying to myself:
"it's ok to be feel. your sensitivity is always, always welcome here"
people neglected me before, but i can care for myself now. when i brush my teeth, or wash my face, or put bandaids on my scrapes, i'm saying to myself:
"you're worth caring for. you were always, always worth caring for"
i couldn't decide before, but i can decide now. i can put my boundaries and my trust where i want. and even when i make bad decisions, they can be my decisions. when i say "no," or "yes," or "i changed my mind," i'm saying to myself:
"what happened before was wrong, will always be wrong, but what happens next can be right. now you're me, and it's today, and we get to decide how things will be"
and it doesn't change the past. but sometimes, it feels like i'm there looking down at my younger self, and she's looking up at me. and i know that she knows, somehow, that her future is brighter, is bigger, is more full and more loving and more alive than she can imagine
good morning sickos let's get this child labor
"people are realizing during the pandemic we are not offering adequate compensation and working conditions and there are strikes all around the world, clearly the answer is not to take this into account, but just employ more children"
Call your fucking representatives and threaten to vote them out no matter what if they donât do something to stomp this into the ground.
-Admin
8 hour work days are now a minimum not a maximum, and frequently exceeded.
Child labour is creeping back in at the edges.
Workers are not being allowed to sit, or drink water, or take proper breaks.
Signs point to another labour movement being necessary, and those signs are "the exact things that caused the last labour movement."
Sensory Pain PSA
Letâs start this off with a story of when I was a kid. I had jumped off the top of a slide and broken my leg. Because the bone breaking didnât feel like any pain Iâve ever felt before, I thought I was fine. And proceeded to walk on that leg until I couldnât anymore and eventually needed a cast.
This is for those in the autism community who will say things like âoh Iâm not experiencing sensory pain, I just got uncomfortable/uneasy when x sensory thing happens.â
Newsflash thatâs PAIN
Just as hunger is pain, thirst is pain, being itchy is pain, hitting your funny bone is pain.
JUST BECAUSE SENSORY PAIN ISNT HOW SOCIETY TOLD YOU PAIN IS âsupposedâ TO LOOK LIKE IT IS.
Pain looks VERY different for all different types of situations. But it holds one message clear.
It is telling you something is wrong
TL:DR: That âdiscomfortâ your feeling towards sensory things is actually pain, but you may not believe it is because society lied to you
Actually, people are good by nature and you're a fool if you think otherwise.
When you sneeze in public, strangers will say "bless you", even though they don't know you.
When you ask for directions on the street someone will show you the way, even though they have nothing to gain from it.
People squeeze their legs against the chair so you don't have to hop over them on your way to your seat in the theatre, and make funny faces to make babies laugh, and purposefully step on leaves to hear them scrunch, and hold the door open for someone leaving behind them, and ask what floor you're heading to when you enter the elevator, and send others photos of things that reminded them of them, and recommend each other songs, and ask if anyone else wants a coffee because they're getting one, and make videos teaching how to sew a button, and wish on shooting stars, and share fun facts, and listen to others rant about things they don't even understand, and let you cross the street first, and give a bit of their food to others, and laugh at jokes they don't find funny to make you feel good, and listen to kids talk for hours about nonsense, and let you know your keys fell from your pocket, and they may be strangers, but with every little gesture they're saying "I love you, I love you, I love you".
God, I needed to read this today. Humanity is overwhelmingly full of hope and kindness and it's very easy to forget that these days.

I want younger trans men to know it's never too late to start T. I see teenagers saying it's too late for them all the time but I'm almost 23 and I'm starting it today. I have many friends who started in their 30s or 40s. Starting in your teens is a really new phenomenon, and while it may be normal now, there are entire generations of trans men who started in their 20s and beyond and they turned out just fine.
Don't feel ashamed if you can't, don't feel ready, or don't want to go on T yet. Hell, even if you never go on it, there's no shame in that. Your body, your choice. And please, if you're in an unsupportive household, keep your head up. You'll get there one day, and it'll be worth it. I never thought I'd be here, but here I am.
The journey to my new (first) tattoo!!!!!!!!!!
âof his own volitionâ I CRIED
The angel hourglass is from the illustrated edition, but the demon hourglass I asked to have customized - I always hated when the books show Crowley with leathery wings despite clearly stating angel and demon wings are the same save for grooming. So I wanted black feathery wings with a snake tail and my amazing artist obliged! I even shaped the tail like Crowleyâs tattoo.
Best part of course is that Neil did Crowleyâs handwriting on the show, so itâs like having Crowleyâs writing on me too!
This is so cool.
