Swanson never released a film called PERSONALITY. Her first UA picture was THE LOVE OF SUNYA.

An optimistic announcement for the 1926-7 season. Chaplin didn't release it until early 1928.

There would be no "second big picture" from Valentino. More on this later.

Presumably this is what was released as THE BELOVED ROGUE, part of this era's apparent obsession with Francois Villon -- see also the 1920 and 1938 films of IF I WERE KING, the 1930 and 1956 films of THE VAGABOND KING, John Erskine's 1930s Villon story cycle in LIBERTY and other magazines. It was left for the crooner Rudy Vallee to become The Vagabond Lover in a 1929 movie named after his theme song, which had nothing French or medieval about it.

But could it be that Chaplin might not finish his film in time? Whatever will the United Artists do for a comedy?
