What are Jax's true thoughts on Gangle? Like i know she likes to bully Gangle in particular but we see moments where it seems like she actually thinks that they're friends almost (like when she says "what? She likes it when i'm mean to her") and ofc the scene with her in Jax's mind
I think Jax takes his complex feelings on his mother out on Gangle, but tries to justify it to himself through delusions that it's not ACTUALLY abuse, even though it is. Most abusers don't ever think of themselves as abusers, and tend to make up a reality in which their abuse is either not that big a deal or it's somehow warranted.
And from Gangle's perspective, she was at a very vulnerable place when she joined, and Jax took control of their relationship. She formed a bit of a codependent bond with him even though it just mostly caused her pain. Losing a friend who frequently hurts you can fill you with complex feelings that are really hard to make sense out of.

A few weeks ago, I posted a poll on my insta story asking for random characters to make a crossover team out, of as well as a theme. Here’s what we ended up with!
Shrek, Catra, Jax, Coraline, and Hooty are the All Stars—a crew of space explorers ripped from their worlds, forced to trek across the galaxy to find a way back home.
Hope you enjoyed this mish-mash crew! This project was a lot of fun, I had a good time imagining the group dynamic and how the characters would interact with one another individually. I was originally going to do a team of 4, but I couldn’t resist adding Hooty to round out the crew!

Anyways, I made this piece to celebrate the finale of this amazing series that has done irreversible damage in my head, and nothing makes me happier than enjoying the journey until the very end (please don't let it flop, lineart took forever 😭)

Lemme propose a scenario, though for Simplicity Sake im gonna largely ignore the 'HOW the fight / falling out with Ribbit happened' just that It Did:
Imagine being Jax , no home to go to anymore and essentially on the run.
You end up in the circus , freak out for a bit but eventually atleast find A Rhythm thanks to Ribbit.
And hell , as bs as the Circus is , atleast its Fun if you Just Dont Think About It , and it CERTAINLY beats being Homeless when Winters coming (idk but it would eventually anyway , lets say it was alot closer) or worrying about paying for food to live (Mood).
Then Ribbit Abstracts , something that you may not have known was possible or atleast it never really registered what those X'd doors mean.
Then as an extra Fuck You , a few days later Gangle shows up. Like the world decided to go 'Hey guess what , you are all Replacable! Nothing Ever Mattered!!!' .
Perhaps its about here when you start thinking everyone isnt real , that this is just some kind of long ass creative Coma Dream (Its a dream? NO CONSEQUENCES!!! NO GUILT!!! NO EMOTIONAL VULNERABILITY!!! [Thanks Mom]) and / or the 'Everyone is just obvious Arch Types not People' idea starts getting planted.
You start to go with the whole 'Pushing people away so they dont hurt you when theyre gone , Everyones Fake anyway' mindset or whatever.
Youve been doing this for x amount of time since Ribbit Abstracted , maybe started before then and keep doing it even after Zooble shows up and near constantly tries to avoid going on the Adventures when possible (This will pop up later , but basically imagine Zooble doesnt 'Count' as a member of the Circus until quite later on because of that and Caine just letting them like how they skipped Mildenholl Manor ... or atleast thats what Jax keeps saying internally)
You keep doing who knows what things we arent shown all willynilly cuz Its All Fake , Who Needs Guilt?
You start to find a different rhythm with this , SOME form of 'security' in this shitshow.
Sometime later you noticed Kaufmo pulling away signifigantly more if not you flat out pushing him away, and maybe have not even been seen in a while (the remake of the Intro Song hes a Cardboard Cutout).
New Character pops up (new meat or whatever, yippee i guess) and theres an Abstraction Attack.
In fact , he likely Abstracted a day or 2 before and you are only just now finding out (again , No Show to the Intro) meaning , once again , Someone Abstracts and Someone Else shows up a few days later.
Now the 'Clown' slot turns into 'Jester' of all things (As i said , Zooble didnt Count , remember?).
Another reminder;

(Mostly irrelevant i like to imagine its this that really starts reaffirming the whole Breaking The Fourth Wall thing. Like 'this must be lazy writing because are you fucking kidding me THE CLOWN BECAME A JESTER' ).

Suddenly this damn Jester starts worming their way in (ep 5 and 6 in general tbh , with atleast some hints in ep 4) and refuses to give up.
No matter what you do (doubling down after the whole 'hug then pushed her away' drew up some memories) she keeps coming back : literally everything about ep 6 fight , 'just shoot me and win' 'id rather throw the gun at you and claw and bite and FUCKING TALK' .
Even the damn 'id move on and forget about you' line wasnt a detterant enough cuz when you nearly abstract in your room , *she still came for you/to check on you*
She also easily couldve had the 'gather up everyone meeting and planning' without you and left you behind to rot in the Circus, have someone else assigned the Distract Caine part... And yet she Didnt , *she wanted you out there*.
(Sidenote i just want to fit in but wasnt sure where: she also atleast stops getting Riled up by you in the way you want. Later on in ep 8 theres the 'ever since you and Zooble showed up things gotten worse.... nothing? ... whatever' thing but theres probably similar stuff inbetween. There is ALSO various cases of what your post mentioned of Jax still caring in a way but feigning it with nonchalance in ep 4 and reoccurring past that and 'seemed like build up to a different ending' but again dunno where to list and this is taking long enough)
Youre still largely in denial about the Bullshit Abel is saying anyway , or that this even is 'The Way Out' (and not whatever Coma Dream thing or whatever youve been running with for a long time) but then again decide to go with it (might be fun).
Along the way though , cuz Fuck Your Life , you see the Snowy Mountain Adventure Memory.
(Another thing i couldnt decide where to put , but maybe its around here but probably somewhere in ep 8 my idea of 'Jax actually wanting to find the others in the real world for an end goal' gets planted even more).
The whole Buttons Scene happens , as The Reckoning starts getting closer you remember what is Oh So Graciously waiting for you Out There.
BUT GUESS WHAT! ABEL WAS IN FACT A BITCH ASS MOTHE-
Now here is where we start towards some rapid fire bullshit and the Script is Changing signifigantly;
Theres the recent reveal that Caine has MUCH more power than you thought , and then proceeds to demonstrate with Whos Running The Show.
Caines getting worse obviously, the sudden Kidnappings ('he shredded me') , the apparent back to back adventures ('Several Days Later') and 'high rapid paced' enrichment to the point even YOU say 'idk how much longer i can take'.
Throughout ep 8 Jaxs 'everyones just ArchTypes' idea gets shattered more and more with Kinger having a Sane Backstory simply being the final straw.
(I saw a list before when the episode was new , but one thing i remember was Jaxs facial reaction when theyre on the couches being like 'wait theyre actually agreeing with me , THEY ARENT SUPPOSED TO AGREE WITH ME' )
Pomni STILL believing in you SOMEHOW ('fill me in later' 'be here later' among other things).
The 'oh this is actually Real' panic attack.
The realization , all the bullshit youve done over the years , all the 'Willy Nilly Who Cares' probably long enough to need a goddamn medieval scroll to document , ACTUALLY HURT PEOPLE [YOURE JUST AS BAD AS YOUR FATHER].
RIBBIT IS DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU [JUST LIKE MOTHER.]
And yet , betweeen all that , for the first time in a long time , you start experiencing something you could even call Hope (mainly in regards to Kingers Plan to get one over Caine and what that would mean for a Better Tommorrow)
....
Then we get to the part that was what started this in my comments on that post due to this all happening in the span of what may very well be 10 minutes:

And then as quick as it started....
Caine dissapears (that wasnt supposed to happen) . The Circus starts collapsing (THAT WASNT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN) .
Kinger comes to relay (good?) news.
'I think... i accidentally killed Caine' (THAT WASNT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN.)
'NOW , WE HAVE NOTHING'.
Remember how i said not even 15 minutes ago you were simply distracting Caine while having an actual plan for a better tommorrow within The Circus?
Things are bleak , so bleak in fact that you start actually wanting to take up being Homeless over this sinking ship that has seemingly no way to fix (again No Caine and Limited Conjuring , no adventures).
Well... atleast you can work towards Leaving , again Homelessness would probab-

You try to go to her once , but change your mind last minute after once again imagining her Laughing Silhouette that has haunted you for days/weeks. (A guess but whatever)

So, uh, earlier this week I got thinking about transfem Jax again, took out my graphics tablet, and suddenly had the layouts for a 55 page comic about a suicidal Jax's egg cracking. I could riff on this idea for about 400 pages, but I want to have this thing finished before episode 9 hits cinemas, so I'm limiting myself to something short and sweet. I have 45 pages left to draw and 47 days to do it in. I think I can manage it.
TADC THE LAST ACT Reaction and thoughts (Spoilers ahead)
Hello to everyone! I watched the movie and I wanted to let out my opinion after just experiencing it. Might change over time when it comes out on Youtube, but I have a few considerations.
Without spoiling anything, at this moment, I can confirm leaks heavily ruined my and many others experiences. This movie has a lot going on and I couldn't fully get the shock and the strength of those feelings due to knowing altready how'd it go. Also, leaks were often badly described, wrong or had assumptions that watching the whole movie in English made no sense.
I can say I had 2 weeks of anxiety over little, because at the end I liked it more than expected, despite having nitpicks.
Now, to talk about it all, I'll go into spoilers so if you haven't watched the movie yet, avoid clicking and expanding the spoiler button.
The start with the goldfish was hilarious, I appreciate it a lot and I hope they upload it on youtube even if it's not needed. Having the creepy fish explaining cinema rules etc was super fun.
Now, generally I liked a lot of things of episode 9:
The internal exploration of Jax; how we find out he liked playing piano, and how they addressed the trans implications, leaving open him being transfem, transmasc or just a vulnerability thing. His backstory was very daunting and heartbreaking.
Ribbit. She was lovely, and I felt pretty sad about how things went down until she abstracted.
Funnybunny. There was a lot of it.
From Jax implying Pomni scares him the most cause she got the closest out of anyone since Ribbit, to him going down the spiral after their argument due to the shame of thinking of hurting her like he did his mother. Jax playing Daisy Bell on the piano.
Pomni crying when seeing IRL Jax is alright, Pomni hugging him harder as she's having a montage of their moment together and being willing to die to stick with him, her asking him to stay with her, reaching out and looking over him even after he abstracted....
Pomni playing the pianola in the credits, which is the instrument she found Jax used to play.
The parallels of Jax and Pomni with Kinger and his wife... the HUG. Him reaching out to her as last action before abstracting. So beautiful.
The gang letting her go try to deal with Jax by herself without even needing to talk about it cause they knew she would...
Ragatha and Pomni being such good friends. Abstragedy... and generally how they handled the heavy themes.
What I didn't like?
Pomni like walking off when Jax tried to reach other after all the other times she was just so ready to get him to open up.
Jax's abstraction and how it was handled in the finale. Aside from the initial ep 9 pacing which is eh... I didn't like the way things were left... overly open.
Now, I think people with leaks were exaggerating saying he died, because I think the show pretty heavily implies that he is probably getting reversed to normal eventually. Or at the very least, leaving his fate as open as possible for fans to decide.
We don't get to see him apologize to Gangle or Pomni, we don't get to see him improving even if he doesn't want to abstract anymore and doesn't want to "die". We don't see him atoning for his actions.
Yet he does open up to Pomni and hugs her, something even Ribbit couldn't do fully. He does admit being scared and he's as in a limbo as he was before Pomni entered his mind. He is kept with the other in the circus, as they say they will all take care of him, and they refuse Caine's proposal to "deal with" Abstracted Jax, saying they got it. We see him sleeping peacefully, with no spikes and Pomni smiling at him.
Caine access to his brain scans and IRL datas AFTER Jax abstracted...
I don't see why leaving this all SO open if it wasn't a concrete possibility, especially with character arc he had.
I don't get keeping him in a fort like a zoo animal, if he really was just the dead corpse of Pomni's friend. Especially because we see they have an aquarium like for abstractions but the very last frame of the circus shows that he's still got his tent.
I think I get Goose's intentions, and I get not all suicide victims get their happy ending, but with the arc he had and him regretting his actions and going through abstractions, I think it would be quite... uncomfortable to me to think of him being fully abstracted and that's it. Said and done. But it also gave me the feeling of Jax being trapped in a loop due to being unsure wether to fully commit with him offing himself or making him better.
I'm happy with an open ending. Him turning back with the power of friendship as nothing would be anticlimatic.
But I kinda wish we got some more hints about him being on a road to recovery rather than just having the signs pointed to that but not giving even a glimpse. He's basically fully absent from the end credits aside his face painted on a wall with other abstracted characters, we get to know nothing. Even a little hint or silhuette of his abstraction reducing, or Pomni looking over him again with time, even like I dunno, something silly, playing a piano in the fort. Or Pomni reaching her hand again and see if he's ready to make the choice of getting helped, of changing (As she can't really get hurt permanently anymore.)
Also, with Jax being treated so differently than the others, it makes no sense he would stay in the fort with the others, getting priviliged treatment, if there was no chance of turning back. Which is also something I wish was explained. Why is he different?
Or if anything, at least it was shown with a different abstraction design, to differentiate him from the others.
He's still considered part of the gang, Caine shows his IRL life... his has his files... Why?
I like it, but I hoped a little glimpse more...

Hello to everyone!
I watched the movie in the theater and by the time I'm editing the post, the episode was released on Youtube.
I wanted to let out my opinion, as it's mildly different from most of my moots, and I didn't want to be overly negative on my other profiles. This post is to express what I think about TADC EP 9 and kinda let it here for who's curious about why I won't talk about the episode aside a few fanworks and why I'm not happy with it (While I'll try to avoid talking about it altogether)
I used to be pretty mad about being spoiled with the leaks back then when they dropped. In a way, they ruined my theater experience.
However, after seeing the overly positive (almost at rage-bait level) content Glitch posted to sponsorise the Youtube release and after seeing the movie in the theaters, I actually found myself relieved.
I had to deal with a lot of anxiety after the leaks dropped, but had I not had those 2 weeks to prepare, more than a month if I skipped the movie release, I probably would have had a very bad time.
I can say it didn't drive me away from the series as a whole or the fandom, I still love what came before and I have a couple ideas post ep 9 just to cope. I also will definitely continue my DenDen main comic, so you can be reassured that I'll stay in the fandom for a while more.

A FEW THINGS I LIKED
When I came out of the theater, I thought I liked more stuff than I ended up really enjoying after thinking through. However, they're worth noting!

This is really it... I'm sorry it's not much, because I wish I enjoyed this movie more. I wish I could be having fun with moots and screaming about the finale with joy.
But as I said, the more I got to think, the more I started seeing stuff that left me very iffy. And after rewatching it, I just realized how many things felt weird, out of place, forced or even uncomfortable to me.
I'm trying to stay short here, not go too much into detail because I'm not in the mood for it, so as much as my abilities in summarizing stuff are atrocious, I'll give it my best shot.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE
CHARACTERIZATION
One of the first things I disliked the most, is how at the start and end, it felt like a lot of characters were ooc, almost lobotomized. Especially Pomni.
Pomni like... walking off when Jax tried to reach out after all the other times she was just so ready to get him to open up, after watching him like a hawk for entire episodes...
I get that she was feeling down but she had her pep talk with Kinger already and time passed since the digital copies news, there was a time skip! And with how attentive she was to Jax even in ep 8, it felt weirdly out of character from her to not even try to reach out back. We could have had him rejecting her one final time, yet Pomni is forced to "forget things can get bad" when convenient. It felt like they had to suddenly lobotomize Pomni to allow Jax's abstraction, while there were plenty of ways to still lead to that without showing Pomni so... passive.
Yet this is not even how she acts the whole episode.
I felt like I was watching two different Pomnis, where the writer switched after she ran off to get abstracted Jax and again after Pomni was taken away by Jax's mind.
We have a Pomni that basically acts nonchalant or lobotomized at most, from when he reaches out to when she has to stop his abstraction...
Then we get her being ready to DIE for him while hugging him, refusing to let go... to just go back again to almost nonchalance after getting pulled out of his mind. She acts so confidently with the abstracted Jax as if she just knows how to deal with him (bring him back perhaps) but none of it is explained, and it just seems like a complete lack of grief.
I'd also mention how Ribbit felt SO revolved around Jax to the point that even if he played a bit part in her abstraction, the show doesn't hide the fact that indeed, as he said in ep 6, everyone played a part in it and she herself didn't try to lean on other people after the fight with him. This is not to say Jax didn't do something bad, but it feels like what's shown is not as heavy as the writing intends it to be.
This also was something I felt strongly during Pomni and Ragatha's talk and hug, which lasted overly long. Sweet, but it felt as if they skipped 20 episodes build-up, which portrayed a overly attached Pomni. She was getting closer, yes but without seeing their talk in ep 6 and without the proper time to develop their friendship, hearing the "first true friend" and seeing them so buddy-buddy was super weird to me.
I also didn't like how Ragatha focused mostly on her own feelings when Jax abstracted, considering the type of character she is and how she wanted to genuinely care for others, how she admitted in ep 6 to failing Jax...
Finding out that most of that was improvised by Amanda, really made me understand why it felt off.
That without talking about Zooble being so forgiving of Caine but chill with Jax abstracting...
JAX'S FATE
The real elephant in the room and the biggest reason I disliked the movie is how it handled Jax's abstraction and post abstraction.
Don't get me wrong, i like angst, I like bittersweet endings, and while I probably would have despised an ending where Jax fully just abstracts, dies and is sent to the cellar, I feel like we didn't get a much better alternative and perhaps something worse.
It's not easy to explain, but I'm going to do my best to try.
Going back to the topic of Jax being "dead", I think people with leaks were exaggerating saying he just died, because from watching the episode, it seems implied that he is possibly getting reversed to normal eventually. Or at the very least, it leaves his fate as open as possible for fans to decide.
This is what I think due to various elements we've seen in his attitude; from him reaching out to Pomni, opening up to her and hugging her, something even Ribbit couldn't do fully, admitting being scared, showing remorse and hinting at wanting to apologize to Gangle.
This also by other less obvious elements like Caine having access to his brain scans and IRL data AFTER Jax abstracted and seeing them still okay, the gang refusing to send him to the cellar, saying they'd take care of him and keeping him in the tent even after building the aquarium.
HOWEVER; these could also very well be just assumptions I made due to inconsistences between the build-up and the actual chosen ending.
We skip his abstraction, get a very unserious song during his last hug with Pomni and during various moments I tried to understand what was the vibe they were actually going for.
And from the advertising with Pomni and Jax together on the bench, with the new hoodie design, the posters... the apathy of the characters, it also feels like the show wants to address abstraction as some sort of peaceful, sorrowful ending, but still some sort of relief, which is not what hinted through the show or during Jax's final moments.
He didn't want to abstract, he wanted to live, to be saved. And his last moments with Ribbit and Kaufmo weren't positive... why seeing their kind of corpses, lost of their identities, swimming together should be positive? If they're still in there somehow, why being trapped in such a state, which is shown to be a kind of mind prison, should be seen as a merciful ending?
I don't see why leaving this all SO open if it wasn't a concrete possibility for him to come back, especially with the character arc he had with Pomni. I don't get keeping him in a fort like a zoo animal, if he really was just the dead corpse of Pomni's friend. Especially because we see they have an aquarium-like for abstractions but the very last frame of the circus shows that he's still got his tent. He's kept aside from the others, we get he's a special case, but we don't get an explanation on why he is different. Not in terms of design and not in terms of dialogues. No "We think there might be a chance for him, if he's willing to take it.". No eventual scene with Pomni in the pillow fort with him trying to enter his mind again even if she can, or even just playing piano, observing him... Anything to hint at a progression.
We never get his atonement and healing, we never get him to apologize to Gangle, to get her response... we don't get him to open up to Pomni on his own will; about his past and insecurities. We get her finding out anyway and then him starting to open up, to be willing to takee that choice himself, but then get interruped.
Everything is halted. We have a few pointers, but nothing strong enough to point at either him fully being an abstraction or being on a path to recovery.
I think I get Goose's intentions, this is her story with her own bad-ending self-insert, but that's kinda not what I ended up perceiving. Caine felt more like the self-insert and Jax was a character built up for a different resolution, but had to be ended in such way for the sake of drama.
I get not all suicide victims get their happy ending, that not all abusers/bullies decide to change, or they do but too late. I get she wanted an ending that fit the "cautionary tale" vibes.
But this series didn't built to it.
We didn't see an horrible iredeemable character, falling to his doom by his own choice or terrible actions. He wasn't impossible to reach, he wanted to live, he wanted to reach out, he TRIED to.
With the previous episodes building up to his regret, going through an almost abstractions and not getting an actual atonement moment, it just feels like the show set things for a whole different ending.
He never reached the point of not being able to be helped, heck, his last actions were trying to open up to Pomni but not finding the words to do so and her saying she "forgot" it could get bad.
Jax developed towards hoping, trying to hope, and to actually choose to save himself in the right moment. Him bonding with pomni and not being able to hurt her mattered, just like dropping his attitude towards Gangle after Zooble teams up with her. He works with the others, does things he doesn't want to do just for the sake of the others, and goes with them, trusts them even when he is scared and doesn't believe in their plan. He does this multiple times, especially with Pomni! He stays when they tell him to and tries to be part of that "one of us".
But we're left with a feeling that if you reach out at the wrong moment, when your community is distracted, then it's over.
Don't get me wrong, him going full abstraction without hints of his return would be terrible for me, but it's equally as uncomfortable to me seeing Jax being trapped in a kind of coma and treated like a pet, brought on playdates with other abstractions as if abstracting (suiciding, or having a mental breakdown) is actually a thing that gives those characters peace.
We get no funeral and he doesn't join the other abstractions permanently, but we're given merch and we've been shown it to be almost a positive send-off...
It feels like giving hope for healing but point towards the actual messed up situation as the nice ending, without explaining properly the themes, the message and what is or isn't a positive ending for Jax. Especially, why one option would be better than the other.
Did a suicidal character get what he wanted after all? He kinda didn't want that for a while... Is it positive that even expressing his fear and wish to not go, he eventually went and lost his identity and maybe life?
Did a bully get what he deserves? Does anyone really deserve it? Didn't he want to atone way before his final moments?
Why does the abused and traumatized character who could still atone get offed, but the AI who tortured the gang and never had sympathy for them gets accepted into the gang, substituting him? (Probably not the intention, but how I personally perceived it)
What kind of message do we get from this? I there a proper message from Jax's fate? Because I read many interpretations, but I feel like none fit what we've actually been shown and none fit his actual development.
This is totally my own interpretation, so I might be wrong, but I feel like Goose was unsure whether to fully commit with him offing himself and go for the angst and cruel realism or making him better and risk an overly happy ending. So she chose the shock effect and then settled for a "we just leave it like that and it's up to fans imagining how it continues.".
I feel like Goose was so done with the show, that she just threw in her ideas and feelings, but didn't actually make them fit with how the rest of the series built things up and filled the blanks by improvising (This is an assumption but Amanda confirmed they had to improvise some lines for the last episode, which is a nono for me).
But leaving stuff incomplete that's not exactly an open ending. I like open endings enough, but this feels like things being let go, not things being written to be open. It feels like giving up.
We've known that Goose lost passion due to dealing with fandom, which is something very sad. I don't blame her for stopping interacting with fans or not talking about TADC on her socials, but I do think that she should have interacted less with it to avoid influencing the writing of the finale itself. This is not to say she is to be blamed for being herassed by toxic fans, but perhaps in the future more distance from the fandom would be better both for the sake of the show and her own mental health.
A "NOT-OPEN ENDING"
For such a short series and first time writing something of this caliber, wouldn't it be better to not address such delicate topics?
This series wasn't written as cautionary tale, so many people, including myself didn't approach it with the proper mentality to stand it. The finale didn't fit with the premise and the development, ending up with a kind of morally ambiguous and perhaps risky message.
Perhaps, while I love creativity freedom, I would add some editors or directors to help writers with their show. Goose did great for most of the series, especially at her first try, but making an official product with such sensitive topics requires a lot of attention and professionals to review the content maybe put some limitations.
A STAGNANT LIFE
This ending on some sorts could be defined as an open ending. However, I don't really think so.
With Jax's fate put on halt, many questions arise:
With his almost total absence from the credit scenes aside being painted with the abstractions and Pomni learning to play piano, I feel like they just wanted to avoid as much as possible pointing to specific directions. Why is he treated like he's gone at times and others as he's still reversible to normal? Why is he a different case? If only Pomni really was close to him like that, why even after abstracting he's still considered part of the gang? Why Pomni can still go in his mind and we don't see a hint of her trying again? Why can she in the first place and the other abstractions are far too gone?
But this doesn't really concern only Jax! What was Bubble? How did Caine come back? How did he still have access to the internet? What is C&A doing?
Caine coming back was so out of nowhere in terms of explanations. Even a "the things thrown in the bin aren't fully deleted" would have been enough of an explanation.
And is Kinger suddenly more aware? Why? What was the light thing about then?
Where is my son Bubble?
Not expressing that much about this, even if it IS a big point. I don't feel that the life they live in the circus is stagnant at all, compared to their IRL lives, but if the message was to accept that condition, why did the full acceptance came only AFTER seeing their IRL selves?
Wouldn't it be more impactful if it wasn't imposed by their new status as digital copies and by seeing the IRL selves happy?
Why would we care in the first place about their IRL selves? Yes, they were the past of the cast, but they're not the present. They are different beings now, different people and characters that we didn't follow. Why seeing their accomplishments should change the actual cast's view and reward them with sudden acceptance?
Especially with one of said cast, perhaps the one that needed it the most, missing out on it?
CONCLUSIONS
There are more things I wish to say, but these were the most important and I feel like I talked about it long enough.
This post is not meant to shame on the ones who liked the movie. While it's difficult to me understanding, even after reading many positive reviews, I want to respect my friends and moots. Which is why I am limiting myself with this post mostly and with a server of other moots who share my view.
I want my profile to still be a comfortable place.
Now, how will this influence my Phantom of the circus AU?
It barely will. My Jax backstory was implied already in previous parts and I don't feel like changing it much. I tweaked a few things, but will keep it mostly the same. Generally Ep 8 and 9 would make it impossible to continue with my plans, which is why I have to mostly ignore those for my Au and only keep stuff until Ep 7. The Digital Copies theory being confirmed is VERY divergent already, considering in my AU they're not. So, nothing is really going to change significantly!
However, talking and coping with my moots who didn't like the movie as well, I came up with a new what-if Au. I was asked in the past, what DenDen's characters would do in EP 8 and 9 if he were around and I decided to somehow answer that question! While I will focus on POTC AU, I will start a new one as well, a bit shorter, and unrelated to it.
This new Au, will feature DenDen and his role in a context where the show's events are canon till the end, being a post EP 9 AU.
It will also serve as a bit of coping.
I also plan for an animatic for a post ep 9 stand-alone thing, but not confirming till I'll have most of it done!
