I keep up with the news because I have to. Since my rights are seen as less important as cis-straight, neurotypical, non-disabled mens' rights, mine have a higher chance of being taken away.

Yes, I live in Canada, where my rights aren't nearly as threatened as those in the US, but US politics have a nasty habit of seeping up north, so I need to stay informed. It's stressful, it's panic inducing, but it's necessary.
