Coming from a small town, I was always in awe of the city. I could finally find a home within opportunity. However, I consumed all until I, myself was consumed. My adolescent binge drinking evolved into a never-ending battle of substance abuse. Now I'm 28 and 83 days into my rebirth of recovery. I look over memories of my nineteenth year, and I'm still compelled by a sense of hope and belonging within the lights. Feeling that sense, that energy shift forever complicates the reality of that era. Everything's pink. - Tia
