ִ ࣪ ˖ ࣪ I customized this Draculaura doll! ♡ִ ׄ˖ ࣪
𖹭 I loved the pattern of her dress, but the top ruffles were ruining her beauty. So, I crocheted her a new top + styled her hair a bit + gave her some earrings and now she can mall goth slay jzjz
- I made this necklace to honour my favourite dragon books series ^^
-I was painting my nails when I realised "woah this nail polish looks just how Saphira's scales would shine"
-So I grabbed my air dry clay and got to work ✨
-It filled my heart with so much joy when I saw the active community around Eragon here on Tumblr. I hope this piece inspires fans to make their own Eragon accessories ^^

𖥔Do you want to make this? I can try to teach you how to :D!↴↴
✦︎There isn't even glass in this work (I'm scared of working with glass)
𖥔And I think this could be an alternative for anyone who wants to avoid being in contact with glass shards at all but wants this kind of shiny ✨ room decoration
✦︎So, here is my tutorial :D!
𖥔This cheap plastic dish is the base↴
✦︎The first thing is to print the design or just have a paper with a draft and add it on top of the "shiny" part of the dish (usually where the food is supposed to go) using double-faced scotch tape (for avoiding the design from moving).
𖥔Then, grab a ball-pointed object and press as hard as you can over the lineart (without piercing the dish) to imprint the design onto the dish (this will create the guidelines)
✦︎ Discard the paper with the design and cut the dish parts that you are not going to use (or keep them if you want to keep the dish shape). Now, focus on the marks on the dish. There are two ways of creating the "whield" effect;
-1: Just grab a hot glue gun and add glue as precisely as you can on the guidelines
-2: Mix a bit of black paint (or whatever colour you want your whield lines to look), half wood glue and half baby powder and a bit of water onto a tool like this one until you have a substance that is liquid and thick (the idea is that the lineart will be more precise and kind of easier to correct if you mess up):
𖹭 Personally, I usually use the hot glue for securing the sides of the cut dish and the mix for the lineart. But, ngl the mix thing is VERY time consuming both in getting the substance until the perfect thickness and doing the lineart if for whatever reason the tip clogges and messes the trace (then you'll have to separate the messed part with a toothpick from the rest and wait until you can peel it off). However I prefer it because of control over the trace and the quality of the work afterwards and avoiding extra wobbling lines (they are completely fine if you want them that way!).
𖥔Now it's time to colour!! Well, kinda, you need first to "prime" the dish before because without priming, the colours just won't stay. For priming, mix water and a VERY TINY drop of any dish soap and apply a THIN layer of this mix with a brush onto the desired areas to paint. Wait a few minutes until it dries.
✦︎Finally! Grab (very preferably) water-based markers and start colouring. Bear in mind that darker colours will stand out much better than lighter ones, so ➤ avoid using pastels!
𖥔 You might want to repeat this process at least 3 times for getting a kind of "saturation". Do not be frustrated if the colour does not look perfect, you will polish that in the sealing step
𖹭The idea is that the shininess of the dish still reflects even when having paint over it to achieve the light/sun catching effect
𖥔 For finishing the project, add clear nail polish over the colour or UV resin to seal it and take advantage of the polish "dissolving" the markers to make a prettier colour design, I usually use a q-tip for controlling the colours better :3
✿Hope this tutorial served you and feel free to ask your questions related to the tutorial on the comments section ^^
✿ I really loove how this work shines even with indoor lights. It is a really colourful way to add whismy on the walls!
✿Happy crafting! And I will appreciate it if you tag me or show me your finished projects ₍ᐢ. ̫.ᐢ₎ ✨
