I haven’t done one of these in awhile, and as today sort of is two years since I got into role playing I thought I’d mark it somehow. Well, the rpg acceptance was posted today – I didn’t write anything for another day or two – also still a little in awe that even got accepted as I didn’t expect it to.  I find it sort of amusing, considering the muse.

Just a little love for everyone who has followed from the group, those who chanced on the blog because they were looking for more Wonderland muses and the others who took the chance to write with a muse they may have had no idea who it is. Because I know the spin off is highly underrated (a shame because it was amazing).  This blog I started six months after the group one, and it has been a lot of ups and downs, a great deal of insecurity as well.  Cyrus started out in a group, as mentioned, and regardless of being a canon character I’ve put so much thought and research into him and I’m nowhere near finished either.  I want him to feel like he’s real, and I hope it comes across in the writing.  So thank you to everyone who came, who stayed and actually ran with a lot of my plot ideas.

I’d love on everyone but we know I’m long winded, still I can’t help it with a few and some of you have too many muses – if I listed them all I’d be here awhile.  Regardless, you’re all wonderful and never forget that.

The first person I role played with – @its-baelfire/ @teaparties-and-mushrooms Evidently on different accounts but you’re such a sweet person and I’m so glad I still have the chance to write with you.  The threads with Bae are really fun and interesting, with the premise of them and regardless of anything else your Alice is always his Alice (I know she’s inactive but you know, that’s how he still thinks of her).

The first person I role played with on this account – @ravenstowritingdesks.  I can’t figure out if you found my account first or if I stumbled on yours before you followed.  I love your Alice, she’s adorable, absolutely adorable and the few times I’ve talked to you OOC so are you.

@louellenthenosestealer/ @daayaan – just thank you for giving me the sorts of threads I absolutely crave, that being friendship and even family centred ones.  I can’t even find words for how much I love all the interactions with both Lou and Rohini.  Just don’t ever leave me or Cyrus. :)  You’re amazing, absolutely amazing.

@thecharmingprincessemma – I seriously never thought I’d love anything like I do Alice/Cyrus but I adore Princess Emma and Cyrus.  The fact you actually got me thinking of absolutely heart wrenching plot ideas…I applaud you. I’m just so very glad you’re so lovely, easy to talk to and didn’t seem to mind my little freak out when we got to the point of shipping the two.  I just adore them together, so much.

@allforacrown – your Anastasia is amazing, and so are you.  I love how much thought you’ve put into her, even how you have both speech patterns for her down perfectly.  All your muses are wonderful though, that I interact with (Caiden, Grace and Graham), still I’ve always loved Ana and the friendship that was hinted at in canon between her and Cyrus.

I would say something sweet about everyone, but we’d be here all day and I imagine there has to be a text limit.  You’re all wonderful, and if I missed anyone here I’m so very sorry (yes some of you get mentioned a few times – all of you with your multiple muses to my one).  I know I’m forgetting people, I apologize.

i’m a few days late (i’d blame my dyscalculia but i honestly didn’t know about this until today, whoops my bad xD) but that said. i think it’s a wonderful initiative and i do want to do a thing for rp appreciation month. i’m two days late so i’m going to list both canon characters and oc’s under the cut because i don’t want to clog up everyone’s dash (though if you’d rather it’s not, let me know and i’ll delete the cut) and yeah basically, i admire you all and i think you’re great <3

the thought and the love and the heart you all put in your characters is amazing and it continues to astound me (in a right way) every day i log on here. kudos to all of you!

    Oh that look…Catia knew it very well. Jasmine wasn’t happy…not by a long shot.

    “But ma-” she began but was cut off. She knew better than to insist. Her mother was fair and beautiful, soft and kind but if you crossed her you’d unleash all the wrath of a tigress you just didn’t want to see. So she kept her lips bolted shut and allowed her mother to continue.

    Cassim stood there watching and listening. He knew that a portion of this was his fault. If he had been more able to stop his sister from her wild shenanigans he could have prevented this, and he certainly could have stopped his mother from having a mild aneurysm…

     Catia’s eyes went wide when their mother mentioned telling their father. Oh by Allah no..please no, she thought. If her father would have been brought in on the details she knew she’d be grounded for life. He couldn’t play the proud card all the time…

    The two sat down next to their mother and Cassim let out a sigh. “I know we’re not supposed to go on adventures during school time.” he said. “It’s Catia who doesn’t listen and for the record I know I should have tried harder to stop her, but I couldn’t leave her when I found out she got into trouble.” he said in his defense which made Catia frown some, he was right of course, had it not been for Cassim she wouldn’t be alive to tell their mother this story or get in trouble for it.

    “But mama…” Catia half whined. “School has nothing to offer…there’s nothing here that I couldn’t learn out there.” she said with a pout which caused Cassim to groan a little. He knew his little sister would pull this card. He nudged her hard in order to silence her. “What Catia means to say is that you’re right.” he said while glaring at Catia who was about to argue the point. The young princess remained silent and glanced down at the ground. “Sorry mama.” she said with a small sigh.

Jasmine sighed in defeat. “Well then I suppose I can only be grateful that you are both still here with me. I know what it is to be young, and bored, and seeking adventure, but if you break the rules like this again -” She looked pointedly at Catia with the ‘I am dead serious’ tone her children knew so well.  “- I doubt the school will give you another chance and if they do throw you out, It will not mean freedom; it will mean lessons at the palace with a tutor, under my watchful eye - the way I had to learn.”

Had she been too harsh on Catia? She felt almost guilty but she knew it had to be said. They were both so clever. One way or another she would get them an education so that their gifts would not go to waste. They would thank her for it later.

She stood up again with a smile, lightly brushing her dress off. “I’m glad we’ve cleared that up! I forgive you and I have no doubt that your father and gido Hamed will too. I only ask that you learn from this so that we never have to have this conversation again. Yes?”

Seriously, I am sooooooooooo shocked right now… I’ve only had my blog since February, and I think I’m a really uninteresting person so…. Yeah, this is a surprise…

“Mom… Are you sure this looks alright?” Noor nervously asked as she checked how she looked in her mirror.

The answer he’d supplied would no doubt not satisfy her, being a princess he had his suspicions she may be more than accustom to receiving an answer to whatever questions she had for people.  Jasmine did not strike the genie as one of those spoiled princesses people talk of, still it did not mean she wouldn’t want an answer at some point. Something Cyrus wasn’t sure he wanted to give; stating he had been born as mortal as she would only bring more questions.  Like others before her, Cyrus was certain she would not keep him around for very long so he saw little reason to speak much of himself.  No matter how he may hope for once not to be used solely for wishes.

“There was no offence taken by the question, it is merely a surprise as no one has ever taken much interest before,” Cyrus replied, smiling a bit towards her.  The knowledge she had of genies sparked his curiosity; had she dealings with one before?  More importantly, was it the sort that had ill intent?  Hopefully she would not decide he was of the same mind and assume he would do something underhanded in the not so distant future.  “It is true that some genies simply come into existance as one, while others were humans that have been cursed.”

Cyrus fell silent when she did, dark eyes taking in the people around them as they continued on their way.  What did she know of genies; it wouldn’t fully leave his mind now that she’d mentioned how they came into being.  He’d never seen one before being cursed himself, now he found himself wondering if those that simply were genies and never human before had something different about them.  Surely a princess did not often find herself in need of such magic, should royalty ever come upon a magical lamp or bottle he assumed it would be kept as a coveted treasure.  The genie shuddered a bit at the thought, while he would not object should she put him back in his bottle at any point, as it was her prerogative and he was to obey her commands, the last thing Cyrus wanted was to be some highly valued piece of treasure.

“A former master’s son,” he answered, tilting his head to the side as he looked towards her.  It wasn’t the full truth; he’d been taught by his older brother but had perfected the skill as a genie.  “Not all masters saw wishes and little else, in the instance of this man’s son he felt it best I had some skill for my own protection as well as for whomever found my bottle.”

Whether that would prove satisfactory or not, Cyrus was unsure.  The answer was simple and straight to the point, or it seemed to be.  “As you’ve stated some knowledge of genies, then you know my magic is solely for you to command; I have no way of accessing it for myself, or at least it is the way my particular magic is.”  An apologetic smile formed, realizing he might have sounded a little presumptuous or rude, which would do him no favours considering her royal status. “I only assume you have such knowledge, I apologize if I do come across ill mannered with that assumption.  I do believe you are quite intelligent though, so I do hope it is more a compliment than insult.”

“I suppose other people have seen more of the world than I have, so such things are of little significance to them. In truth, I do not know much of the world beyond the palace so I am always eager to learn more. Besides, the subject of magic is intriguing.” Curiosity was only natural and it came more naturally than usual to Jasmine.

She listened to his answer with genuine interest. “Thank you for your honesty. I know all too well how dangerous it can be if a genie gets into the hands of evil - rest assured that my intents are not in the least malicious.” She paused in thought for a moment. Something about his last statement did not quite make sense to her. “Surely a genie would not need to defend himself? No master would ever harm a genie while they still had wishes left, and after all of the wishes had been granted the genie would move on, and the former master would have no control over him, no?”

“--- Forgive me if all my questions offend you, I merely wish to learn more and I can not think of anybody more qualified to teach me than yourself.” She gave him a small smile. Yes, Aladdin’s old genie was just as qualified, but he was busy enjoying his new-found freedom and hadn’t visited them since the wedding. In any case, he was Aladdin’s genie and Aladdin’s friend. It just wasn’t the same.
