1. Ruby (My Bravest Knight);

"Ruby was never religious in her entire life. So when she and her friends end up in the purgatory (Underworld?) after trying to investigate a local cult, she can't help but feel like her entire life was a lie. At least, her sister is not here with them.

Being an arts student, specifically a painter, Ruby already knew that she was the perfect set up for failure if she didn't work hard enough. She just didn't expect to fail so hard as to end up dead (or not-dead? This is weird) without even knowing the cause in the first place. And now, they're not only saying that leaving the Underworld is impossible, but also that God is... Dead? Seriously, what the actual fuck did she miss in the time she spent not reading the Bible and avoiding the local church like the plague?

Luckly, at the very least she has her girlfriend Alice and their friend Harvey to get through this togheter. Also that guy Asriel. He doesn't seem bad, there's just... Something off about him.

Aways wearing her oversized hoodie, bones hair clips and ripped jeans as well as aways having her loyal wired phones with her (which may be in less than ideal shape, but she'd rather die than swap them for airpods or whatever the fuck they're called), Ruby is ready to face this situation head on, as well as whatever consequences that may imply, if she gets to live another day with Alice."

2. Alice (My Dearest Daughter);

"Being the agnostic occultism investigator that she is, Alice never thought that investigating a local cult would result in this. Now, stuck in the purgatory with her girlfriend Ruby and their friend Harvey, she must both find a way back and figure out this whole 'God is dead' thing, since she knows with a hundred percent sure that she is, in fact, not dead.

Before this happened, Alice was a college theather student, always exceeding in her area. She aways enjoyed the idea of there having something after death, even if she wasn't exacly christian. Having a slightly absent father and a very strict mother in an almond household, she unfortunately still retains some really bad habits from the time she lived at her parent's house. Still, with Ruby's help, she has been trying really hard to get better, truly, she has! She just needs to find healthier coping mechanisms.

Aways dressed in her favorite style (gyaru!), Alice gives preference to maximalism over minimalism. With her necklaces, bracelets, pantyhoses, short skirts, hair clips and heavy make up, she likes to draw attention wherever she goes, especially from kids, that aways seem to assume she's either a fairy or a princess (or both!). Her personality also helps to sustain this claim, being described by her girlfriend as a "ray of sunshine".

Now, with everything that went down, her priorities changed, but one stayed the same: staying with Ruby. Alice will do anything she needs and will do it happily, if it means she gets to spend her life with her girlfriend."

3. Harvey (My Righteous Justice);

"Harvey was never a believer, being an atheist every since his mind can reach. Which is not much, unfortunately, seeing as he barely has any memories from his childhood after his father's death. Either way, he doesn't recall the Bible ever saying anything about God's demise, much less about the purgatory being like... Well, this.

In contrast with his friends Ruby and Alice, Harvey was never big on the occult, much less on investigations about the topic. However, after being dragged by the two in a trip to investigate what they believe to be a local cult and ending up where he is, he might actually turn into a believer.

Before everything went down, Harvey was aways on the calmer side of the spectrum, constantly trying to keep the peace. Wearing his worn out yet loyal green jacket and his beige cargo pants, he was also an arts student, specifically of the sculpting niche.

Now, he must not only try to find a way to come back and dive deeply into this whole 'God is dead' story, but try to keep his mind in the process, stay besides his friends the whole time and on top of that try not to dwell too much on the fact that the angel that's supposed to help them is... oddly cute."

4. Asriel (The False Lamb);

"God is dead. Or so they say.

Asriel refuses to believe any of it. As he takes care of the Underworld Express completely on his own - even if he can't remember the last time they had guests -, he still refuses to stop praying, kneeling every night and clasping his hands on a silent plea for God to please, come back.

Being one of the weakest (and youngest!) angels - both in heaven and in the purgatory - Asriel can't fly, his long, black wings often being more of a dead wheight than anything else. Yet, he refuses to let it slow him down, working hard to maintain the Underworld's one and only hotel for souls that fall from Earth and must redeem themselves from their sins before they can enter the Land of the Lord.

Aways on his black bellhop uniform, Asriel works hard to keep the place clean and functional, ears sharp for the moment the bell rings and he gets to welcome guests once more. He wishes God would answer his prayers. He wishes God would talk to him.

Why won't He?"
