Forgot to post these yesterday (oops), but this recipe is basically the same as my s’mores chocolate chip cookie recipe with a few tweaks.
Recipe Ingredients:
• 1 1/3 cups or 170 grams of all purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp or 3 grams of baking soda
• 1/2 tsp or 2.4-2.8 grams of baking powder
• 3/4 tsp or 4.5 grams of kosher salt
• 1/2 cup or 112 grams of unsalted butter, browned and cooled
• 1/2 cup or 100 grams of light brown sugar
• 1/3 cup or 70 grams of granulated sugar
• 2 tsp or 11 grams of vanilla extract
• 1 large egg
• 1 1/2 cups or 250 grams semisweet chocolate chips
• Pink food coloring
Oreos/ cookie of choice (again, measure with your heart)
Recipe Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F or 177C and grease or line your baking sheet.
2. Typically I prefer to brown my butter first, as it gives me time to let it cool while I prepare the other ingredients.
3. In a medium sized bowl, whisk your flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined, then set aside.
4. In a larger mixing bowl, whisk together your sugars and butter until you get a paste-like consistency.
5. Whisk in your egg and vanilla until smooth.
6. Add pink food coloring little by little until you achieve your desired color.
7. Pour your dry ingredients little by little into your wet ingredients and mix until only a few streaks of flour remain.
8. Add your chocolate chips and oreos until well combined and no flour remains.
9. Roll dough into balls and place on greased/lined baking sheet.
10. Bake for 12-15 minutes (12 for gooey cookies, 15 for more well-done cookies)
11. Optionally, you can chill your dough for thicker and chewier cookies.
12. Enjoy!
