Wolfclan's Ruin, Moon 0: Olivestar

Buzzard and Hollow were born in the same litter, and were bound at the hip from the moment they were old enough to toddle around after each other. Buzzard protected Hollow, and Hollow comforted Buzzard, and they were as close as close could be. When they were old enough to be adopted out, their new person adopted both of them. They had a happy life together for a few years, but about a moon ago they were suddenly abandoned out in the woods. Hollow was still in denial, but Buzzard-- ever the pessimist-- insisted that they have to learn to survive on their own. She figured out a rudimentary way of hunting, and chased off anyone that got too close.

"It's alright," Weasel insisted. "We'll figure something out. Oh, heavens." Heather didn't respond; if the nervous look on his face was any indication, he was comforting himself more than he was her. She stared at her paws. They looked unfamiliar to her now.

Heather never thought that her family would fall. Her father, Stone, had been leading the local clowder for as long as she'd been alive, and she was meant to take over for him when he passed. But their numbers were dwindling, food was sparse, and morale was already low by the time a horrible bout of greencough struck. More than half of the clowder died, including Stone. In spite of Heather's best efforts to hold everyone together, those that survived it scattered to the winds. The only cat who stuck around was Weasel, her mother's brother. They had never been particularly close, but who else did they have?

Moon 0 (part 1)

Hey everyone! Welcome to my little clangen project. It’s a little non-traditional in that this isn’t technically a clan; it's a group of strangers who are forced together by circumstance in the beginning. I’m also not gonna be sticking to in-game events 100%; I'm prioritizing having a cohesive plot, so I might move things around, add things, take things out, etc. It's more 'taking inspiration' from the game than it is a true clangen blog... but I think it's gonna be fun!

These are the guys we're starting out with! They'll be getting little character blurbs/backstories before we get into the action.
