I am trying to raise money for my current medicine and medical bills for my doctors.

So, the last one didn’t meet its goal. The money I raised - $461 - has been used to pay off two doctor’s bills since I had to cancel my medications as I did not have the full amount they wanted. After speaking with my doctors tonight, I’ve set up a new fundraiser that will run until April 1st. The money raised will go to pay for a total of seven prescriptions and 10% of my hospital bill for this current stay as per the new agreement with Emeritus - a religious/charity group that helps people in my situation.

I am also offering two items to people who donate this time around. If you donate $25, you will be getting a t-shirt I’ve designed (can be seen on the above site). For $50 donation, you’ll get a tote bag, also designed by me. For any donation from $75 and above, you will receive both a t-shirt and a tote bag.

"And how do these strange stones do it exactly" Regina asked Jefferson,determined to try and find a way. After all, who knew? They could be able to have their effects reproduced and mass made into a product for her to sell for her kingdom. Though she didn’t need the gold, it would be a shame if half the peasants died in the winter months.

Because though she was labeled evil, she did still care about them, as long as they were loyal to her of course. Those who weren’t loyal on the other hand…. well she believed that they had it coming.

Jefferson was reaching the point where it might have just been easier to escape. "I do not know Regina. I only know what I have observed and that is not much, badgering me for information I don't have is not going to help." He folded his arms over his chest, his eyes still on her. His opinion on her was varied and really did depend on the moment in time. Right then he was annoyed.

Time for Tea || Jefferson & Grace

It was enough to draw attention though. At least from one person in the room. Abra’s eyes were closed, but they always were, the little pokemon was wide awake while Jefferson slept. Abra knew what was going on, could tell what was happening. The little creature followed. Appearing in front of the girl, floating, his legs folded beneath him.

He’d stop them if he had to, Jefferson cared about his daughter and Abra could predict what would happen if the Hatter woke up without them.

Grace nearly yelled when she saw Abra appear in front of her. Of course he would notice that she was moving. Did he even sleep? “Please, Abra.” She urged the Pokemon. “I need to do this. Surely, you must know that. Papa will never let me leave, and I need to chase my dream.”

Abra stayed there, floating a few feet off of the ground. He was not about to let her leave. She didn't know, how could she? Jefferson's biggest fear was to lose her and she was running away. It would destroy him. How he wished he could tell her. Maybe then she'd stay and not leave.

Time for Tea || Jefferson & Grace

Grace continued to watch her father. She didn’t want to move until she knew for certain that he was asleep. His chest slowly raised and then fell back down in a steady rhythm. Abra’s eyes were also closed. They both appeared to be sleeping peacefully.

Gathering her courage, Grace gently sat Nido on the ground and then made her way to her room. As quietly as possible she started to gather items she knew she would need, another dress, a cloak, candles, her diary, and a small blanket. She also made sure to grab the rabbit her father had made her.

Once she was done packing, Grace made her way to the door. It squeaked softly as it opened, but not loud enough to draw attention. Or at least she hoped. “I’m sorry, Papa.” Grace quietly whispered before she disappeared into the woods, Nido following closely behind.

All Jefferson wanted to do was be a good father for Grace, and keep her safe. Yes there was the part of him that knew it’d be hard to keep her happy and keep her safe, especially when she was as strong willed as she was, but…did that not count for something? That he was trying hard to keep her safe from harm?

He watched Grace and Nido, his hand resting on Abra’s head, before he closed his eyes and let his head rest back against the chair. He hoped he had made the right choice.

Grace wasn’t sure how much time had passed since she drifted asleep. Noticing that she was awake, Nido took the opportunity to nudge her gently. “Hi,” she softly whispered to her friend. Her gaze then wandered towards her father. Was he asleep? She couldn’t tell for certain, but if he was, it might be her only opportunity to take her dream into her own hands.

Jefferson was asleep, with Abra in his lap. He'd probably wake up if something moved, but then again, he might not. It had been a long day and Jefferson was exhausted. So he slept, his hand resting on Abra's head. He did not move in his chair, just slept.

Hmm. Strange, for Jefferson. Or perhaps not, considering from the very looks of the home, he and his daughter were simply far too busy with one another to have time for such occasions. His fingers tapped lightly against the table, eyes slightly gleaming as he stared up at him. “Of course not… Is there much else so very different in this world of theirs than our own?” Certainly, there must have been, considering some of the objects that had come from their world to our own, including the very stone he carried now.

Absol tenderly nipped every bite from the fruit, savoring the flavor. Yet, never did he remain ill-cautious of his surroundings. The Pokemon in front of him may have been kind, but the Dark Pokemon could hardly assume the same of the tall human in front of his own master. He knew far too well just how many good Pokemon fell in the hands of ill-suited trainers…

Jefferson did not think it strange, he thought it smart. Why rush head long into the world he knew nothing about? There was no need for that kind of madness, not when he was raising a child. He sat back, he observed. "Yes. It is much different than our world. I would say...more...advanced? They have carriages that run without horses. Lights that do not need fire. Things like that." He poured himself a cup of tea, watching the other man. "Want a cup?"

Abra was not asking for his trust, he was really just trying to be kind. The little psychic pokemon was aware of those in the room's emotions, Absol included. He knew the other was cautious, but he just let the other eat the berry. Then offered another.

Belle’s eyes grew large.

"How can she find this world then?" she wondered. "I mean… they say you have a magical hat. Does Grace have anything that could bring her to another world? Or does she know any people that would be able to help her get there? If so, we should look for those people - try and see if they can help us find her - or perhaps we’ll be able to intercept her before she’s able to reach them."

Jefferson paused then shrugged his shoulders a bit. "There are portals just opening up from time to time..." It was the honest answer, and he was not confident in his abiities to use the hat to get his daughter back. An equal number had to go through and come out... And as much as he loved his daughter, there had to be another way. He knew she would not forgive him if she had to give up Nido.

Jefferson’s eyes went as wide as a startled deer’s. She had seen his daughter… The Hatter shook his head. He did not want to get back into the trade that had taken Grace’s mother from him, but to find her? He would do anything. "She’s my daughter…she ran away…I’ve been looking for her since…" He could remember that horrid day, how he had come home from the market to find the house completely empty, no sign of Grace…

Belle visibly paled at that news and she looked at him with large eyes. "She… she ran away?" she repeated weakly. "When I spoke to her, she was gathering mushrooms to sell at the market…" For a moment she stared into the fire, feeling incredibly sad that Grace had run away. She was still so young! Then she was reminded of the presence of Jefferson, and how worried he had to be. "I’m so sorry," she said immediately. "I promise I will keep an eye out for her. Do you have any idea where she went?"

Jefferson had an idea of where he went, and he was not at all okay with it. He ran his hand over his face, growing more worried by the second and it was reflected in Abra. The pokemon was growing anxious and despite his calm exterior, seemed to be nervously teleporting all over the place.

He rubbed his arm after a moment then nodded his head. "To find the world the pokemon are from..." he said softly. "I told her she couldn't go...that it was too dangerous...I think she went against me..."

His brows rose. Well. Certainly rather unexpected, but just a bit enlightening. At the very least, it was one familiarity. However, it hardly told him everything. “And how rules this land?” Or, lands, he supposed. After all, there was no one ruler in the Enchanted Forest. Certainly, the same could be said of this strange, new realm that appeared so suddenly with these creatures. And, if he simply went into this land without any knowledge of its rulers, well, that would certainly cause some trouble, now wouldn’t it?

The Dark Pokemon nodded, thanking him, “Ab.” Lowering his head, Absol began chewing at the berry, happily surprised when the sweet juice hit his tongue. So. Perhaps the Abra had only wished to be friendly after all. A delightful turn of events, considering how unpopular his trainer usually was.

Of course there were some sort of government that controlled the land. He had seen people who reminded him of guards, but they road in strange metal boxes rather than on horses like how they did. But those seemed to control the law, as for who controlled it over all? Jefferson had no idea. It was not something he had looked into. "Of course there is a ruler, probably several though none that I have seen. I have not taken the time to get to know any of the people there as I have on other occasions."

Abra may have been timid around the dark pokemon, but he was a kind creature by nature. So when the other ate the berry, it made the little Psychic pokemon seem to beam with happiness. The other accepted the berry, maybe he wasn't that big of threat.

Time for Tea || Jefferson & Grace

When Grace had fallen asleep, Jefferson smiled getting back to his feet. He carefully carried his daughter, than Nido, over to her small bed. He tucked her in, pet Nido’s head softly. ”Keep her safe…” he said in a quiet tone to the pokemon before he moved over to his chair by the fire.

Nido woke up briefly and heard Jefferson’s words. Of course he would protect her. Grace was the one person that Nido cared about. There was a bond between them.

Moments later, Grace stirred in her sleep. Nido watched her curiously, making sure that she was safe. He had a feeling that Grace would go against her father’s wishes. She was a strong girl after all.

Time for Tea || Jefferson & Grace

There was only one thing that Jefferson truly wanted and that was to protect his daughter. Was there something so wrong with that? So he continued with his story, telling of how Pikachu and Ash started their journey together and how they eventually became good friends.

The words lured Grace into a deep sleep. She couldn’t remember the last thing she remembered, but she knew her father would repeat it if she was to ask him.

When Grace had fallen asleep, Jefferson smiled getting back to his feet. He carefully carried his daughter, than Nido, over to her small bed. He tucked her in, pet Nido's head softly. "Keep her safe..." he said in a quiet tone to the pokemon before he moved over to his chair by the fire.

"I see…" The imp leaned back, eyes agleam at the information. So, it wasn’t truly magic. Yet somehow Jefferson was able to go to that world. And the hat could only reach worlds with magic. Yet…what was it that kept these creatures powered so? "And what form of people inhabit this strange world?" Probably even stranger than the creatures if they grew and adapted to mice that shot out electricity and birds that spat fire from their beaks. Every little worm in that land was as dangerous as the chimeras that lived in the mountains.

Absol blinked at this small change. “Sol,” he replied, nodding slightly. His own gaze turned curious. Had he misjudged the finicky Pokemon that lived with the Hatter? Or was it simply trying to hedge its bets against him and his trainer?

"They seem like us..." He answered truthfully. If he was being honest with himself, he had nothing but respect for the Dark One, and fear. If he crossedd him he did not want to know what would happen, so it would be easier to just answer his questions. Easier than running the risk of what could happen if he angered him. "They go out and find pokemon and use them for different things." he assumed Rumpel had figured that much out at the very least.

Abra offered the treat again, something that he was fond of himself that his master had given him from time to time. "Abra." he slid it across the table again.

Time for Tea || Jefferson & Grace

Grace giggled as she nodded. “Of course, Papa.” Her heart still ached at his rejection, but she understood his worry. She could tell that the world was a dangerous place. Papa’s stories taught her that. Fighting back a yawn, Grace laid her head down on the table, closing her eyes to hear the rest of the story.

She knew him? A confused expression appeared on his features as he shook her hand. ”You know me?” he asked, his head tilted to the side. He should not be surprised, most did recognize his name from when he was a portal hopper. "I…have you seen a young girl? Maybe eight years old or so…with a Nidoran?" he asked with a desperate tone in his voice. He had to find Grace…maybe this person had seen his child.

A Nidoran? Belle kept on being surprised by him, and she hardly had time to close her mouth as she stared at him before she replied. "Grace, you mean?" she asked. "I know her. I saw her a while back. But she lives quite far away from here. I don’t think you’ll find her here, if we’re talking about the same girl."

Jefferson's eyes went as wide as a startled deer's. She had seen his daughter... The Hatter shook his head. He did not want to get back into the trade that had taken Grace's mother from him, but to find her? He would do anything.

"But how do they effect the creatures" Regina asked impatiently. "What do they do to them" she said the last part more out of emphasis of her previous question than out of a real question in and of itself.

She wanted to know, she had to know even, what these creatures could do, and what the stones would do to them, she had to know everything that she could find out, so she could use the information to her advantage somehow, in some way. But first she needed to collect it.

Jefferson stiffened, and had half a mind to snap his fingers, Abra's signal to teleport them both out of there. "It can cause them to change form...or grow stronger. Some can prevent them from being turned into another form."

He did not have much information, most of it was what he had observed in his time in the other world. That was not much. Stones were as foreign to him as most of the pokemon were to other people.

Wait…

Belle’s heart started beating faster. Jefferson? The Jefferson?! But… He was so young! For some reason, she had imagined Jefferson, the portalhopper with knowledge of all worlds, as an older man. She had imagined him graying, not… young and handsome. As he recognized Farfetch’d, her eyes grew even larger, and she realized that he was the real deal. No one else had ever recognized her Pokemon. "You’re J-Jefferson?" she stuttered, taking his hand so he could help her get up again. For a moment, it looked like she forgot to breathe as she looked at Jefferson with the most incredulous expression.

She knew him? A confused expression appeared on his features as he shook her hand. "You know me?" he asked, his head tilted to the side. He should not be surprised, most did recognize his name from when he was a portal hopper.

Part of his story he was making up, of course he was. He had not met anyone named Ash, but he did meet Pikachus. ”they are like a mouse…yellow…with brown stripes and pointy ears. They seem to like lightning…” he told her, runnings his fingers over Abra’s fur. ”Ash and Pikachu did not get along at first…Ash had to drag the poor thing around because it did not trust him.”

Grace giggled. “Pokemon must not like humans.” She remembered her first meeting with Nido. He had ran under the bed and she had to crawl under with him. She watched as her Papa stroked Abra. Did they have a similar first meeting?

"Some really do like humans..." he told Grace smiling down at Abra. At least in their case. Abra had followed him, teleporting after him when he figured out the other was a portal hopper like himself. It had taken a bit of coaxing but Abra had eventually joined him. "Would you like to hear the rest of the story?"
