I've just been tagged in a fake staff post, stating that I need to verify my age by giving my information in a link.

The post:

There are several tells that make the post suspicious.

The username tumbler24132. Tumblr uses the username staff for their important announcements, not a random misspelled account name worh many numbers.

There is only one post on the account, being the post shown.

There are two accounts mass tagging random people in the comments with similar pictures and usernames that could be seen as official. Tumblr does not randomly mass tag people.

This is an insidious attempt to prey upon vulnerable people who don't know this is a scam.

Rule of thumb: NEVER give out your personal info online, even to official apps such as Discord. IDs in official apps have been leaked multiple times before, and scams from unofficial links have lead to lives being ruined.

I might cry tbh. My dreams are coming true right before my very eyes. You do not understand how much this means to me.
