About This Blog
Greetings, reader! Here is the Aphrodite Simp Blog, a blog for exploring and sharing things about the wonderful Goddess Aphrodite! She is known by many names across different cultures: Aphrodite to the greeks, Freya to the norse, Venus to the romans, Inanna or Ishtar to the mesopotamians. Modern pagans may percieve these epithets as seperate goddesses with similar domains, or facets of the same goddess. She is the goddes of war and love, passion and ferocity, pleasure and empowerment. I chose the epithet "Aphrodite" only because that is the epithet that resonates with me personally, all her different epithets are equally valid. This blog shares a wide variety of Aphrodite-related things such as but not limited to: artwork, stories, poetry, informational articles, and more!
My goals for this blog is to provide a concentrated place for Aphrodite/Freya/Venus/Inanna/Ishtar enjoyers and worshippers to find and enjoy media things about the wonderful goddess. This will range from simple reblogs of stuff I find on tumblr, to passionate analyses and reviews of entire art pieces, stories, and comics. I will find and share obscure bastions of the internet hiding mythological treasures of sublime beauty and exquisite wonder!
I will do my best to try to credit the artwork I find. If I post art that has an unknown author and you know who the author is, please tell me! If I state incorrect info, please tell me so I can correct it!
If I post art here that you made that you do not want on my blog, reach out to me and we can figure it out and I can take it down!
There are many stories about Aphrodite and her escapades and girlbossing shenanigans. In her norse epithet, Freya, is a story about how she aquired her iconic necklace, Brisingamen, by making love with four dwarves in exchange for the necklace. This is one of my favorite stories, but depictions of it are rare. I plan to collect and share different retellings and depictions of this myth in specific.
You must be at least 18 years of age to interact with or read this blog! I post lewd, raunchy, spicy, sexual things! Aphrodite is a sex and love goddess, after all. If you are too young, don't worry. Aphrodite still loves you. And she will show you the spicier parts of life when you are ready. But not yet, you still have some growing up to do. You'll be more than welcome to enjoy this blog once you are old enough!
DO NOT INTERACT with this blog or me if you are: folkist, fascist, racist, sexist, queerphobic, polyphobic, sex-negative, TERF, pro-genocide, pro-colonialism, trying to "save" pagans and convert them to christianity, etc.
