“Good, this place is dangerous. Go take cover.” He said nonchalantly like it wasn’t a big deal. Ban felt her hand on his arm and she felt like she was a tiny little thing, “Youre welcome, but seriously get out of here, theres a big battle going on here.” He said to her as he looked around trying to see if there was anything coming their way.
“Well for sure it would have killed one of us, but I would have been just fine.” He said playfully, “I’m one of The Seven Deadly Sins, Ban is the name.” he replied to her answer her question, Ban loved to play the hero, he especially loved when the women fawned over him when he saved them.
Then that was when he actually looked at her for the first time and he was floored, if he wasn’t already kneeling he would have fallen down to his knees, “Elaine?” he asked confused and lost, so many feelings had hit him all at the same time. There was no way this could have been Elaine, she wasn’t a fairy for starters and then the more obvious point, Elaine was dead. Still he had seen stranger things so it was possible.

“I’m sorry for all of that but you need to get out of the city, its not safe here.” He said still urging her to leave, the sins were going to take on the holy knights and if there was this much destruction and the battles had only just started then it wasn’t safe for anyone anywhere in the city. “I’ll find you after, just go!” he said as he looked around and saw more battles being waged around the city off in the near distance. Right now the only thing Ban was concerned about was to keep the people safe and join in to remove the holy knights from their oppressive hold on all the kingdom.
“In the living flesh, please don’t fawn over me. It’s a little too soon for me to be embarrassed by all the fan girls.” He replied jokingly confirming her suspicion, he was the fabled fox sin, framed and disgraced. “No problem, just get out of the city. Its not safe to stay within the city, even if you want to stay here just at least get outside the city walls.” He said answering her question, he wanted to save this girl but he didn’t have time to hold her hand the whole way.
When the woman corrected him on her name he blinked and brought himself out of his reverie and looked back at her, she almost looked like Elaine in the flesh but he knew that it wasn’t here, “I’m sorry, you just…You look like…” he started to explain and then another loud rumble off in the distance caught his attention and he knew that he didn’t have time for this. “Stay safe then, I’ll come find you after.” He replied to her as he jumped back down to the ground and let her down so she could seek cover somewhere, he needed to take off and help his comrades in arms in their battles.
Ella nodded as Ban spoke to her, talking about how she looked similar to someone he knew. She noticed how he stopped himself mid-sentence, her head jerking to the side as she heard the rumble. Her grip on his arm tightened as he jumped down, nodding again when her feet hit the ground. “Alright. Alright.” His arrogance bugged her slightly. But she knew he had good reason for it. “I’ll go now.” The girl turned on her heel and headed away from the fight, looking back only once before she dissapeared in the distance.
The whole time she ran, her mind wandered to how the fabled fox sin would find her after the battle. He couldn’t have any idea where she would end up going. The girl herself had no idea where she would end up going. But that was another thought for another time. Her main priority was getting away from the battle and being safe like Ban told her to do. So she kept running, until she couldn’t feel the rumble in the ground anymore but not to far to where she couldn’t hear everything. Ella decided that once the noise subsided, she would start back towards the town. But until then, she’d stay away from it all.
