Ow. Owie. How dare you make me FEEL THINGS. but like genuinely I can’t stop thinking about this dynamic. Scott thinking that Pyro will never actually tell him these things and letting the corruption control him just be able to hear it. Scott pretending that everything is fine bc he so desperately wants this to be what Pyro really thinks. And on some level it is and that makes it so much worse. He is letting pyro be puppeted into saying that he missed him, that he cares about Tengrith because Scott believes all of that to be fundamentally untrue. Pyro watching him do this, knowing the corruption eating away at his body will soon rob him of the chance to say those things of his own free will.
