HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017!!

Happy new year to you all! To mark the start of this year I decided to create a digital piece as this is a type of media I really want to improve this coming year, hopefully with practice my skill with this medium will improve. I’ve seen a few people creating  “Draw This Again” pieces which have always interested me as I love seeing how people are able to develop their skills over time so as part…

This year has been so progressive for me and I have loved creating the work currently on my redbubble!

Next year I plan to work on specific projects and series of work as i have discovered the types of work i enjoy creating more of. This year i have focused on refining my digital work which i think has improved so much since college and i cant wait to develop my skills further. Series such as the Deer and Shark series which are silhouette based have been useful for me to develop my use of colour and you have all responded so well to those works that i plan to create more similar works. My digital portraits have improved so much in the space of a year, i’d love to redo some of the supernatural works from last year to show how much my work has changed since starting out, if you would like to see a before and after of a specific work please feel free to send me a request.  The latest digital portrait is my favourite work from this year, i created a digital portrait of Hagrid from harry potter this month and i love how much detail and texture i was able to add to the piece simply by taking the time to experiment more with th epiece.

Over the next year i would also like to develop my more traditional skills, after the success i had with Inktober 2015 i found that my traditional skills had improved just after the one month so i want to try and take my work further! I want to try and focus on character development with my traditional work similar to what i did during inktober with Skylar the witch in training.
