This is about Patches fruitlessly dreaming about him & Markell getting to celebrate their birthdays together as kids. But even in his dreams, he couldn't lie to himself - since when he asked dream!Markell if they could ever have gotten to meet, the answer he received (thus given to himself) is no.

Details about the comic:

- the changing of colors in the background flow between pages (purple -> blue -> yellow -> pink -> darm blue/green)

- Pages 1, 2, 3 are bright & pastel-y to symbolize them being a part of a dream while page 4 has a darker value to symbolize reality.

- Page 1 & 3 has them as the kid versions that Patches envision them would be like together. Page 2 has them as the adults that they truly are - contrasting with page 3 with the adult versions Patches thought they could be.

- Them pursuing their dreams as an adults in page 3 is Patches as a streamer while Markell as a painter!
