The sun seemed to be punishing the people on Earth. It was the hottest it had ever been in Hidari Wakibara and everybody was suffering. Even the psychic Saiki Kusuo was taking physical deterioration from the blistering heat.

You were in your room. Specifically, you were lying on your floor in a tank top and shorts. The method of wearing as few clothes as possible felt useless to you, but desperate times call for very very desperate measures. You could almost see the steam ascending from your body as you raised your hand in front of your face, shielding your eyes from the apathetic rays of light. You were too lazy to get up and shut the blinds. Too hot. Tooo hot

So when a familiar face unexpectedly appeared in your room, standing over you, you knew instantly what Kusuo wanted. “No, no, no Kusuo I cannot be any hotter. I will suffer a stroke, believe me.” The pink-haired boy looked unimpressed, ultimately dropping his body directly on top of yours. You cried out and flailed around, attempting to push the body off of you. All he did was grunt. Grunt?! The warmth and newfound rage fueled your strength. With a final push… You did nothing. Kusuo remained on top of you.

“Kusuo…”

“Kusuo pleaseee…” Nothing. He did readjust himself so he could look up at you. ‘It’s not even that hot.’ You rolled your eyes. “To you, maybe! You, of all people, should know that I am sensitive to heat.” Kusuo recalled the numerous times you’d taken your jacket off and complained about the heat during moderate days. ‘You’re right’ Was all he said before sitting to the side.

“Why did you do that anyway?” You ask, sitting up as well to meet his carefree gaze. When he didn’t say anything, you assumed he didn’t have an explanation. But that would be unusual. Kusuo Saiki always had a justification for his actions. ‘I missed you.’  If it weren’t so hot, you would have been alarmed. But just as there was a winter sadness, there was a summer madness for Kusuo; A madness to see his partner.

You sighed, feeling wrong. Only a crazy person would give up the opportunity to be in the arms of their lover. “If you get me some ice from the fridge, I’ll let you cuddle me.” Kusuo sneered at the affectionate word cuddle. It almost snapped him out of his daze just thinking about how ridiculous and outlandish the word is. He obliged, levitating every one of your icepacks into your hands.

You felt instant gratification, laying each pack in a specific place on your body, including your forehead, which Kusuo quietly chuckled at. A relieved sigh escaped your mouth as Kusuo shut your blinds. ‘Can I continue now?’ Kusuo asked impatiently. You whined, “In a minute. Let me bask in the cold.” The ice packs began to melt, surprisingly fast. You opened one eye to spot Kusuo heating them with his psychic powers. “Kusuo!”

‘You do realize that if I were to lie on top of you, I could cool you down faster than those little ice packs.’ You were stunned for a brief moment. Of course. How could you forget that your psychic boyfriend could do literally anything. “And you didn’t start with that?! Come here before I melt into a puddle, dammit.”

He brought home a random stray kitten.

She will bring you on expensive dinner dates to later have you pose outside the restaurant like you’re a model.

Like Momo, Tokoyami loves to capture all of your beauty. So, when he can’t seem to get your photo just right, he gets frustrated. You find him in his room, feathers strewn out across the plain, and his head buried in his phone.

You have to soothe him at times, telling him it’s not that deep.

“But, sweetie, I want to be able to see your magnificence every time I see you.”

Tokoyami Fumikage - Taken

Despite how he is with you, he doesn’t appreciate when you take photos of him. He complains that he doesn’t look good in any type of photo—digital or physical.

No matter how many times you tell him he’s flawless, he still deletes the photos you take of him on his phone.

After a while, he gives in and begins to appreciate how you make him feel.

Izuku Midoriya - Taking

His literal side hobby is photography. A majority of his photos and studies are going to be of you.

You guys even go on photography dates. Aka, a date where he tells you how to bend your body and to look pretty. Which you do.

He laughs at every candid you take of him; where he’s eating and his tongue is jutted out, waiting impatiently for the food, he laughs.

Izuku admires how his face, unfiltered and unaware, can bring a smile to yours so easily and without fail.

Tenya Iida - Taking

His camera is just images of things to remember; like receipts, or taxes filed, or reports. His camera role is just his to-do list.

When you two are together, his phone is long forgotten. The only rare photos he has of you are accidents from attempting to turn up his volume.

This man is so un-photogenic it’s crazy. Every photo, unless blatantly posing, looks like a candid.

Really, it’s insanely cute that he forgets how a phone even works. He may be smart, but sometimes the simplest things confuse him.

Yu isn’t good with a phone but she will 100% be bossing a camera man around until they get the right angles of you.

Hires the best of the best to photograph you. If you tell her a simple photo doesn’t require a whole camera crew she will only kiss your cheek and talk it off.

“Babe, you deserve only the best. Now shut up and look pretty for me.”

Yu Takeyama - Taken

If you ever take a candid of her she’s practically begging you to delete it. Can NOT be on someone’s phone looking like she just saw the sun 30 seconds ago.

“Please, darling, please… don’t post that anywhere.”

Prays to the stars that the photos you take never ever get leaked.

Mina Ashido - Taking

Constantly posts pictures, candida, and professional photos to her social media story. She doesn’t care if you tell her to stop. Spams the shit out of her story after hanging out with you.

“Sorry, babe, I just can’t stop. Everybody needs to see how beautiful you are, and that you are mine.”

Posts you to her favorite songs at the time. Just to further show that you are her favorite person.

Mina Ashido - Taken

You take an “ugly” photo of her and she’s asking you to send it to her right away. Has a collection of all of yours and hers candids.

She laughs at them and adores every photo you take; of her or not.

Hanta Sero - Taking

Black mails you with candids. Gets you to do his dirty work like pranking Denki with him. Don’t worry though, he pays you back later with kisses—just don’t ask him to delete them.

If you don’t like that then he’ll stop but will still get a laugh out of each photo he has of you.

It’s a completely different deal when it comes to you. You guys will go hand in hand with ugly photos of each other until somebody forfeits and gives in.

Mei Hatsume - Taking

Loves taking candids of you. Doesn’t post them like Mina but keeps them in a designated folder.

When she’s working on a project and you text a picture of her sleeping at y’all’s last sleepover, she briefly smiles and saves the photo, adding it to her collection.

“I’m not deleting it,” she laughs, “you look too cute. I’m gonna print it out and kept it in my wallet forever.”

“Sweetheart, I love you— but delete that right now.”

Becomes suddenly serious if you take a photo of her. It’s scary because you never see her so intimidating. Usually she’s all hyped and gushing about her newest baby. Seeing her crazed smile fade is not what you need.

Katsuki Bakugou - Taking

When y’all hang out, he doesn’t normally have his phone out. But if you guys were out on a date he is 100% taking a photo of you during it, your cheeks stuffed with food.

“Hey, look,” he calls to you, mid-bite. “Smile.” He has that same grin on his faces as the flash goes off before you can react.

“Look at you,” he mumbles, “so precious.”

He loves looking over the photos after your date, smiling softly.

Katsuki Bakugou - Taken

King of nonchalantness

Katsuki pretends to hate it, but seeing your face light up at every photo, candid or not, brings him a special warmth to his heart.

“Stop laughing. I’m a grown ass man. Don’t need photos like that on the internet.”

Tsuyu Asui - Taking

You’re her Lock Screen. That’s just how it is. When she’s on patrol feeling especially bored, she will pull out her phone and admire the Lock Screen. Even if it gives her a bad look as a pro hero.

Again, a yearner EARNS.

I headcannon Tsuyu is such a yearner.

Switches out the photos every month so she keeps them recent and never forgets what you look like. Who wants an outdated photo of their partner anyway?

Tsuyu Asui - Taken

Franky, just doesn’t care. Doesn’t care when you show her a bad photo. Doesn’t care if you use it to make her do what you want(would already do anything you ask).

“I don’t get the big deal. You don’t need to use a picture of me to make me do what you want.”

Tsuyu looks the same in a candid as she does in a regular photo. She puts on the same face every time.

Ochaco Uraraka - Taking

Blushes furiously every time she accidentally takes a good picture of you. Gets frustrated that all your photos turn out so good.

“It’s not funny! How do you manage to be so cute all the time?”

Opts out to taking photos of you while you sleep. You look peaceful and calm. She keeps them in a hidden folder on her phone like you’ll find it one day and think it’s weird.

Goes to Izuku for photography advice.

Ochaco Uraraka - Taken

Gets embarrassed when you show her a photo of her, along with praising it vigorously. She still can’t believe she is dating someone as sweet and kind like you.

After a date, walking home with her heels in your hand, she sometimes asks if you’ll take a photo of her. It’s weirdly intimate, her phone in your hand. You take the photo and send it to yourself before giving the phone back.

Shota Aizawa - Taken

Doesn’t use his phone AT ALL. The only time he’s on it is to text his coworkers and call you.

The only photos he has of you are pictures taken from physical portraits he takes with you every holiday or reunion—and you always insist on printing them out.

It’s not that he doesn’t trust himself to take good photos, he’s just too lazy when y’all are together to ask you to smile.

He gets annoyed at fake smiles in photos anyway.

You have to beg him to smile in photos, he doesn’t like any fake smile.

“Just take the photo…”

You sigh and take it, later taking on of him mid-laugh. He freezes and grumbles under his breath.

Giggles at each photo. Thee is something about your face mid laugh that makes her heart beat faster.

“Oh, don’t make me delete it,” she giggles, “you’re perfect here,” she says as she shoves the phone in your face.

During a picnic, she took a photo of your face covered in pink frosting and saved it as her Home Screen AND Lock Screen(sorry if you hate frosting).

Nejire Hado - Taken

You get envious. Nejire is SUPER photogenic. while she is fighting a villain, every photo the news broadcasts captures almost all of her beauty. But the photos you take of her, small candids, never compare.

“Love, please let go.”

“No! Not until you tell me your secrets!”

Hitoshi Shinsou - Taking

Adores you. That’s all I have to say. His favorite photos of you are ones of you sleeping. If he can’t sleep at night(almost every night) he will look at your photo until he becomes tired. Still tries to stay up and watch your face more.

“You look just like a cat when you sleep,” he mumbled randomly while cuddling. It’s shocks you momentarily. After a while you encourage him to take more pictures of you awake.

Hitoshi Shinsou - Taken

Like Shota, he doesn’t smile in photos. But when you catch him laughing at a photo you sent him, immediately you are taking a picture.

He becomes flustered and tries to reach out to your phone. You pull away and laugh at his reaction.

“Darling, please don’t show that to anyone.”

He buries his face into your neck as his face heats up even further.

Shoto Todoroki - Taking

He has a phone but only uses it to call and text. Sometimes he takes photos of his food. The pictures you send him automatically save to his gallery.

“Wait. What’s that?” You pause his finger swiping to find a picture. “What?” You click on the photo you had sent him a couple months ago; you’re holding a plushie you won at an arcade game, smiling like a doofus.

Shoto Todoroki - Taken

Like Tsuyu, he has the same deadpanned face during photos, only there is an additional emotion: Confusion.

“What was that?”

When you send him a candid of him and it saves to his phone, he looks back at it and smiles, knowing that photo brought a smile to your face.

Kyoka Jiro - Taking

Y’all were listening to music together when she snapped a photo of you singing your heart out to a lyric. You hadn’t even noticed until the song was over and you saw her beaming at her phone.

“What’s up?”

Freaks out. Almost throws her phone across the room out of pure embarrassment.

“N-nothing! Shut up and go back to singing… you looked cute or whatever,” she grumbled as her cheeks grow redder.

Kyoka Jiro - Taken

If it wasn’t for her quick reflexes, you would have many photos of Kyoka. You practically jump at the opportunity to snap a quick one. But she always darts out of frame before it can load.

“C’mon, babe. Just one!”

You laugh as she buries her face in your chest.

“No!” Is all she says.

Eijiro Kirishima - Taking

You guys were at a party playing hide and seek. He already knew where you were, but had his phone out and ready, recording the intense moment.

You jumped out and scared him, causing his phone to fly out of his hand. You took it and realized it was recording.

Later on, after heading home and you were asleep, Eijiro took screenshots from the recording, loving your proud face.

Eijiro Kirishima - Taken

He takes you with him to the gym. Always, before he leaves, he calls out a simple “going to the gym” and waits to see you race to the door.

“Hold up—let me get my shoes!”

While the two of you are warming up, you sneak subtle pictures of his flexing muscles and determined face. They are quick and spaced out. You must’ve looked like a creep.

“Like what you see?” Was all he said to make you jump.

Denki Kaminari - Taking

He loves catching you off guard with a small shock from his finger and then snapped a photo of your surprised face. You never get used to it—it’s that sudden.

“Denki, you don’t need to shock me to get a photo of me!”

He just chuckles and tickles your sides while his phone was off to the side, secretly recording your crazed giggles.

Denki Kaminari - Taken

Also never gets used to it. The sudden candids or well developed photos. But his favorite picture are ones of the two of you, preferably on a date. Every time you send him the pictures you’ve taken, he immediately saves them and then tries(but fails) to pretend he’s chill about them.

“Do you like this one?” You innocently ask him while cleaning out your gallery.

His words stutter and cheeks flare up bright red. “Y-yeah. It’s fine…”

Himiko Toga - Taking

She’s all for stealth. She will be stalking you walking home after a date or just after work and will take pictures she later prints and tacks onto her wall.

Dabi scolds her that she’ll leave too many holes in the wall but she couldn’t care less.

“A ruined wall is fine if my love is on it. They make anything better.”

Dabi would only roll his eyes and gag dramatically at it.

If she is sleeping over at your house, she will pretended to be asleep and then snap photos of you before leaving(like planned).

Himiko Toga - Taken

She doesn’t care. She loves it actually.

“Aw, my love is taking pictures of me! Here, let me do some of you.”

At either dates, the base, or your house, you will never be able to leave without a photo of her.

If you forget—which most the times you do— she will ask you calmly(and abruptly) to take a picture of her on her way out. You think it’s sudden but nothing about it concerns you.

Tomura Shigiraki - Taking

Isn’t allowed to have a phone. Plain and simple. But he does get around it by asking you to print out pictures of yourself so he can keep them either in a drawer or in his worn down wallet.

“Love, just buy a phone,” you whisper to him in the midst of your cuddling.

“All For One won’t let me. End of discussion.”

Tomura Shigiraki - Taken

Claims he hates it. But we know all good and well he loves it. He loves being attended to like that. He loves knowing that you will never delete a single photo of him.

Maybe he gets a little cocky about it.

“Another one? You just can’t get enough of me, can you?”

You love to take photos of him while he’s gaming, his tongue partially out of his mouth as his eyes are hardened with focus.

Everything needed to be flawless. The shelves tidy, windows sterile, and floor vacuumed–everything needed to be perfect. Every book on the shelf was ordered alphabetically and labeled by genre using a piece of sticky tape. As you took a measure back to examine it, the amount that read romance was mortifying. It took you an extra ten minutes to peel the tape without damaging the actual cover. An hour passed and the wooden shelf was finally finished, labeled in all its glory by completion. Admiring the work, you hadn’t even recognized how much time had passed since starting. Picking up the cold metallic watch standing lonely on the nightstand, your jaw dropped. 40 minutes left.

Lunging forward, you fisted your freshly washed clothes and sped out of your room, slamming the bathroom door closed. You couldn’t care less if the shower water wasn’t warm yet, smelling like a sweaty trash can was off limits. The water ran down your back, covering each fold of muscle. They were still sore from a recent gym adventure. You had recently started working out. You could admit Sal was a major reason, but it was also to better yourself. Maybe that kind of motivation could be used as fuel for your depleted confidence.

Brisk air gushed towards your wet body as you trekked out of the bathroom, towel around your body, hand trying to rub out any remaining shampoo. As soon as you stepped back inside your room you were reminded of your mission– to be perfect. You had already picked up the trash that surrounded your desk: crumpled papers, college project drafts, and shattered pencils from stressful nights. There was nothing like seeing a freshly cleaned room. Almost noon, you thought to yourself. Applying the finishing touches, a brief spray of air freshener, you were headed to the front door, waiting impatiently by it. You had planned in your mind what you would say once Sal arrived. An easy hello followed by a half-assed conversation, leading him to the bedroom. No, no. That’s too obvious. It's not like you only invited Sal over for sex. You like him and all that. You want to hold his hand, play with his hair, and dub him breath-taking. Tonight would be an inciting incident for the two of you.

You were knocked out of your thoughts by a knock at your front door. “Holy shit…” You gasped, hands clutching the plush of your couch. It took nearly half a minute for you to answer. Quickly, yet with well-planned movements, you opened the door, meeting eyes with a familiar blue-haired boy you call Sal. Though he was only slightly shorter than you, he still managed to knock you to your knees every moment he talked. “Hi,” he greeted before a word could escape your mouth. “Hey,” you swallow, “come in.”

Come in.

Time swept by faster than expected. After all the talking, playing guitar, gossiping, and chilling, you and Sal were lying on a twin-sized mattress, looking up at the stars on the ceiling and listening to both of your favorite songs. You were breathing slower, partially out of anxiety, the rest because you were carefully taking in every inch of his scent. It was sweet, like he had just showered. You wondered if he was doing the same to you. Occasionally you would stop breathing entirely to catch up with him, only to end up in a coughing fit.

“Are you okay?” Sal was constantly quick to worry, though not as fast as you. You sat up “Sal,” you began, “I have something I need to confess.” Sal tilted his head in puzzlement. “Do I need to take off my face?” Your heart skipped, “No–” you can’t help but chuckle, “No you don’t need to, but seeing your face when I say this would be nice.” With that, he unclipped his mask and set it on the nightstand. Your hand found his underneath the covers as you lay back down by his side, not meeting his eyes. Instead, your eyes became plastered to the ceiling. “I, uhm.” Sal didn’t look over at you, letting you take your time. “I like you. Like, a lot.” His eyes enlarged, gaze leaving the stars and instead finding you. You were not in his peripheral vision. His heart raced like he was running a marathon.

Sal’s hand you weren’t holding went to his chest, feeling the beating thump trying to escape his chest like a caged and rabid bird, eager to fly in the sky. A while passed with just silence between you until Sal finally responded. “Really? You really like me?” He didn’t look over, but his hand tightened around yours. Oh god, you felt like passing out. “I mean– I like you too. I have since I first saw you lost in the school hallway.” You grinned at the memory. Sal had been walking to his friend’s locker for a camera when he bumped into you. You were new and lost. Everybody else you asked for help turned you down, busy with their bologna, but not Sal. He helped you up and even showed you to your classes. He advised you not to eat the bologna. You thought it was childish at the time. At the time.

Sal gradually sat up, gently tugging you with him. At first, you didn’t want to but eventually gave in to his yearning eyes. You were face-to-face, knees brushing against each other. It was all happening so fast. His thumb brushed over your lower lip, provoking your face to heat even further. “Can I?” He whispered, his breath delicate against your skin as he leaned forward. You couldn’t believe what was happening. You nod eagerly, hand already crawling to the back of his head. Sal’s lips were wet as they engulfed yours. You could feel the indentation of his scars but you didn’t care. The hand in his hair pulled desperately at him, squeezing him further into you. He pulled away. “Hey,” he chuckled and it made your heart flutter, “Calm down. We have all night.” Oh. Oh yeah.

With a hand tangled in your hair, the other placed haphazardly on your waist, Katsuki grunted, finding himself awake in the middle of the night with no room for him on the bed. Through the darkness of the room, he first thought it was you who was taking up so much space. After turning on a light, he realized he was entirely mistaken.

There you were, curled into a ball to protect yourself if you happened to fall off the edge. In the middle of the both of you were your two dogs. They laid together like a barrier keeping Katsuki from you. No way was he about to let two measly dogs prevent him from touching his girlfriend. “Stupid mutts…” he muttered under his breath before carefully picking one up and replacing his spot with them.

After a few minutes, they had switched spots completely. “Can’t believe we live like this.” He rolled his eyes and sighed. A soft gasp escaped your lips, a sign of deep sleep. He was now able to fully relax. His arm secured itself back around your waist and a hand snaked into your hair, sleepily playing with each strand. Katsuki lives for his hands in your hair. He can’t go to sleep without them there.

It was unfair. Unfair to be bloodied and battered. Unfair to be Izuku for the most part. Everyone knew that Katsuki was a brash and harsh guy. He gives no one a second thought and he never lets anybody get under his skin. Still, somehow it was a surprise when class 1-A found out Katsuki used to bully Izuku.

The rain poured around everyone yet it seemed to single in on Katsuki and Izuku. Everyone else was in the foreground as Katsuki laid his confession out. It was vulnerable. A breath forgotten. Mumbled words into pillowcases. There have only been a few moments when Izuku has seen such vulnerability from him. His fingers pulled together, jaw clenched. Though his eyes remained solid, there was a softness inside each pupil.

Katsuki took a step near Izuku, stretching out his hand for him to grab, his knee sinking into the shattered ground underneath them. “Remember when you saved me from All For One?” His head fired up at that name, finger twitching inside the space in his gloves. He didn’t say anything, only giving a small nod. “You told Eijiro to be the one to grab my hand… because I wouldn’t have grabbed anyone else’s.” Katsuki let out a small, exhausted sigh, more at himself than anything. “The fact is,” he blinked, drawing in a sharp breath, “I would have grabbed your hand too.” Izuku’s eyes shot up and he couldn’t stop his scoff from escaping his mouth.

Mina strode forward, crying out, “What the hell is wrong with you?” She was ready to lunge forward but Eijiro’s arm extended, barricading her from moving any further. “Whoa, whoa! We don’t need to do that right now. What we need to focus on is–”

“How dare you disrespect someone like Izuku! He’s done nothing but push us forward and encourage us and you now want to bring up the past?” Eijiro wasn’t trying to silence her, but he was trying to calm her down. “How dare you. How dare you! How dare you disrespect a kind soul like Deku!”

“I’m kinda with Katsuki here.” Sero butted in, leaning his shoulder against Katsuki’s, who quickly pulled away. His face was full of undisguised disgust. “What do you mean, tape-arms?” “I’m saying that I don’t care that you bullied Izuku. It builds character. Toughening up someone early on in their life helps them for the future.” Katsuki scowled at Sero’s infuriating voice. “Nobody cares about what you think!” Katsuki’s right arm lifted for its signature hook but quickly Izuku swooped in and separated them, a thick gust of wind pushing them away from each other. “Just stop fighting!” His voice cracked against the bruises along his legs and arms. Each bruise seemed to be paired with its very own scar. A scar from his past years.

“We came out here for you, Izuku,” Uraraka spoke up, gliding out of the mass. He could barely hear her over the sound of his heavy breathing. “We did what we knew you would do. You’ve saved us all one way or another… and I wish you would recognize that! When Katsuki was kidnapped, even though you were fresh out of the hospital, you still went with Eijiro and everyone else to get him back. You were the one to save him, grabbing his hand or not!”

Izuku sighed, his head tilted down. His hair covered his eyes like a vast shadow protecting his emotions. Izuku, the boy who was ever more passionate about heroes and never let anybody who talked to him walk away without knowing that, hiding his emotions. “Just go home, guys. I’ll… be back.” Some hollered and some went to console him with their words. Katsuki couldn’t stop glaring at Sero as he started to say bye. “Nobody cares about your goodbye, Sero!” Izuku’s feet were heavy as he dragged himself to a random rooftop. He would soak in his own sorrows for tonight, revisiting every memory he’s had with his friends at UA, but for tomorrow, he will change.

Once he made it back home he went straight to his room, not without checking to see if his mom was still asleep. Changing out of his sweat-soaked costume, Izuku shoved it into the washer as quietly as he could, shutting it with caution. Inko was asleep in the room beside him. After kissing her cheek goodnight, he collapsed onto his bed, nearly immediately falling senseless. The only thing that stopped him in that moment was a faint tap at his window. He could hardly even lift his head. After a while, the tapping stopped and Izuku could finally get his rest.

Knock Knock Knock

It was evening and Katsuki was outside Izuku’s house. The door handle was cold once his knuckles touched it. Maybe it was because his body was so heated. Maybe it was from how nervous he was. The door opened steadily and Izuku peeked his head through the opening. He didn’t say anything. He didn’t need to. Katsuki stood the first to speak. “I didn't want to put your history out there like that.” He spotted Inko gazing into the scene from the kitchen. Her expression was of pure worry. It made Katsuki want to walk directly into the house and hug her.

After a long silence, Izuku occasionally looked around for his words, and he spoke up. His voice was tempered: “But you did…” His words were like a blade to Katsuki’s heart. His response was quick and jagged. Katsuki barely even thought about what he would say to Izuku once he saw him. “I did. I’m sorry.” Izuku couldn’t stop his breath from leaving his mouth. “You’re never sorry. Why are you suddenly so sorry now? Because people are finally seeing the real you?” He could hardly look him in the eyes as he spoke.

The pang in the side of Katsuki’s chest only grew stronger and sharper. It felt like it was piercing his skin with every breath he took. He breathed, “This time I mean it, dammit.” Izuku was silent. “Listen. I couldn’t keep it inside any longer. It was hurting me. But now that I've let it go, you should too.”

“Are you telling me to forget about it?” Izuku tightened his hand into a fist, bitterness levels beginning to rise, just like his voice. “No, you idiot! I’m asking you to… fuck, I'm asking you to let it out. De–I don’t have a good way with words, Izuku, so please… let it out–on me.” Silence. “Before I change my mind!”

Izuku huffed as if he was about to speak but decided against it. “I said before I change my–”

His words were shortened by Izuku’s punch to his chest, sending him back in shock. He let out a guttural groan as he balanced himself. Not only was Katsuki trying to balance himself physically, but emotionally as well. His hands clenched into fists, but he quickly released them. “I deserve that.” He groaned, standing up straight. “Do you feel better–”

Again, another punch to the chest. Then one to the stomach–two to the stomach. Finally, Izuku landed a right hook to Katsuki’s face before Inko pulled him back with as much force as she could. He willingly stepped back, placing a hand on his mother’s back. “I’m okay, Mom. I’m okay.” The cuts on his knuckles said otherwise. “I’ll be back in a few minutes. Don’t worry, “ He said before stepping out of his house, shutting the door softly behind him. Inko tried to protest but was cut off by the door.

“I’m sorry.”

“You’ve already said that.” There was something unforgiving in Izuku’s eyes. They looked as if they were made of stone, cold and crisp glares, completely different from the soft eyes of freshman Izuku. “Dammit—can’t you just accept an apology? I've made my peace. Holding on to the past will only make you angrier!” Katsuki still had a hand on his cheek, but his eyes remained on Izuku. “You don't know what it was like… being nine years old… and ridiculed for something you couldn't even control.”

Katsuki huffed, “Listen, I'm not going to pity you or give you any half assed apologies just so you can forgive me and get rid of my guilt. I'm only here to tell you I'm sorry. And if you are so blinded by your anger then that just proves my point further.” and just like that, he turned on his heel, fixing to leave before a hand grasped his shoulder.

“Do you have to bite while I’m trying to study?” Iida scolded you, turning away from his books. You grinned, sharp canines poking out from your lips. They could barely cover them.

For a split second, Iida’s eyes glanced at your teeth, then at his fading bite mark. He quickly shook the thoughts from his head, raising his stiff hand in his typical Iida fashion. “You need to be studying too! Sensei Aizawa needs his students to learn on their own—not just from him!”

You giggled before turning back to your book. Before you did, you noticed the faint pink splattered across Iida’s face. It was an innocent color with a more demented meaning. “Iida,” you called.

“Yes?”

“Do you like being bitten?”

His eyes widened and his heart almost stopped. Fingers fidgeting with his uniform, Iida avoided his answer completely. “That is a completely inappropriate question and I will not tolerate it during our studying!”

Safe to say, the answer is up to your interpretation. But we all know what the true answer is.

Crisp, sharp breaths the stranger took in though it would not be enough to last him a long life. Chizome found a body. Chizome found his quirk. He was paralyzed, but soon enough dead before his eyes.

It tasted like vengeance on his lips. He found a hero in the alley, unarmed and unnamed. Their quirk seemed to serve useless against a small child like Chizome. “Sir?” He called out to the hero, “Are you okay?” Small hands grabbed a fistful of the hero’s costume, and he tried to pull him up in a sitting position. He didn’t budge. It was like his limbs were frozen in place, joints unable to bend. The hero’s muscles were tight and solid against Chizome’s tiny finger.

“Hey, kid! What are you doing in here?” A voice yelled from the entrance of the alley. Chizome’s head perked up, immediately abandoning the body before him. His eyes caught glimpse of a taller lady almost staggering completely over him. No words could come out of his mouth that could explain himself. The blood on his mouth, the blood on his hands, the blood on the floor—it was all unexplainable.

The woman’s eyes widened at the gory sight. “What the hell did you do?” She shrieked, backing away from the dangerous kid in front of her. “I… I’m sorry, ma’am. I just… found him here.” Chizome’s voice was only a plea. “Then why is there blood on your face? Did…” her heart skipped, “did you eat him?” The woman’s body seemed to close itself off, knees buckling in and arms crossed in front of her chest, almost as if to hold herself.

She turned around on her heel and ran out of the alley yelling for a hero. Chizome knew he had to act quickly. He stood from his knees and leapt to his feet. The body was cold, but the muscles seemed to relax. Maybe he was finally dead. The hero was finally at peace.

Heavy footsteps were getting closer and closer to where Chizome was panicking. The heroes would believe him. A white suit and a long cape slightly stained with past enemies finished off by mighty moves. The hero’s gaze was cold, but as soon as his eyes fell upon his fallen coworker, something cracked. His breath shuddered, his lip cracked open just to let out his trapped breath.

“God… what,” he swallowed, pausing for a moment. His fingers twitch by his side, as if aching for a vengeance that leaves a body cold. “What have you done, kid?” Chizome’s frame shook with fear; slowly subsiding fear. “I found him… found him here.” His foot nudged the area just a few inches away from the body. The hero’s body started to lunge forward as he saw his legs move, quickly stopping.

“Sorry. I’m getting ahead of myself.” His words were simple but his voice cracked under pressure. Chizome recognized his stutter, putting his hands forward as reassurance. Abruptly, the hero swatted him away, hand hovering over his blade.

Chizome gasped in shock, drawing his hands back. “Look, kid,” as the hero knelt to pat Chizome’s shoulder, he noticed the blood. He noticed the blood everywhere. “My god—what have you done? Is-is this your quirk?”

Tears brimmed in the corners of his eyes and Chizome ran. He ran past the hero, not stopping even if he could hear him calling his name. He ran so far and so far past his house, not stopping until he reached a tiny hill in the middle of nowhere.

Ever since quirks began to develop, there had always been trouble sprouting up anywhere and everywhere possible. The hero was only being cautious. Cautious of a scared and crying kid covered in blood.
