i could probably write multiple pages of caleb introspection about the horror of losing 11 years of your life and only really knowing that you were in enemy territory the whole time and it was probably because of something (spell) done to you. i hope m9a touches on it a bit because i think its easy enough to brush by in the campaign because caleb's pretty detached from it by then but i think its gotta be like top 3 horrors of his life if u think about it

The first time theb M9 meet Essek always leaves me screaming because he comes off as this ethereal, all-knowing beauty who is unscathed by their shenanigans when you know he's internally scheming about how he can use these idiots for ESPIONAGE AND TREACHERY, and then like 3 months later it's "I love them and they HAVE RUINED me with friendship" and I honestly think that's just so beautiful.

caleb gets up everyday of c2 like yes i killed my whole family and then lost 11 years of my life and also now im trying to rewrite the timeline about it instead of actually facing it and also this is the first time in like 17 years ive socialized and also the first time in probably my whole life where my friendship wasn't founded and held together by shared trauma and abuse but im being really normal about it
