I combined the #dtiys challenge hosted by @cremechii (2nd slide) and the composition of the artwork by @djamilaknopf (3rd slide). I've had both arworks saved for a while now, both for the challenge/study and the feeling of home I get when I look at Djamila's art. I've been drawing digitally for a while now and I wanted to go back to my roots and try painting with real paint. I have to say I've been relying on layer styles too much! Picking shadow and highlight colours without digital tools is tough. Not to mention the undo button...
