So... My plan for this for awhile was to only do The Steve Saga, and to open myself to the meme after I finished rewatching it, so Iād be familliar enough with all of the characters, maybe adding others roleplays as I rewatched them. But even as Iām just starting to get through the Origin Arc, itās becoming really obvious that Iām probably gonna want to rewatch certain arcs (and even the whole series) to do someĀ characters. So, even though itāll take me awhile to get to certain characters if Iām asked for them, Iām gonna do this now and just rewatch stuff as I need! If youāre wondering how Illusion is mentally doing in Act 3 of RRFF, hereās a paragraph I just deleted from a chapter draft, but is still canon nonetheless:

If he broke this so-called chair and picked it up, his inventory would correctly call it a stair block, not a chair block. Stair blocks were only insisted to be chairs once they were put in front of a table, which was also a social construct.
I agree! They even look pretty similar to Minecraft spiders. Reality would honestly be baffled by how tiny they are, and his mind will be blown when he learns about their jumping abilities.

My odds of being able to post anything in the next year are debatable, so if Iām not here, hereās a post celebrating the 6th anniversary of The Steve Saga! October 15th, babyy!
Master Wu is just actually stupid. I mean this with love but like hc heās actually just not very bright, and other older characters like Garmadon and Misako know that, but the ninja just believe that Wu is wise when heās actually making everything as he goes along. Like instead of the whole āhe has a plan in the endā he really is just as clueless as everyone else. Heās impulsive and reckless and doesnāt think things through a lot of the time. And thatās okay, I just think that the idea of him being a knowledgeable and wise teacher isnāt entirely accurate.
Examples:
Doesnāt know where Kai and Nya lived / whether they existed, despite knowing their parents
Trains Cole, Jay, and Zane before finding Kai despite having known that tje green ninja prophecy included at least four ninja, not three
Tries to get the 4 golden weapons despite the fact that he already placed dragons to protect them: why the dragons if he was just gonna collect them
Unites the weapons despite the goal was to keep them separate
Literally takes the last golden weapon to garmadon??? Like why? If Wu decided to go anywhere else then Garmadon would have had a harder time getting the last weapon
Thought Garmadon was actually gonna try to wield the four golden weapons
Knows that Lloyd is on the streets opening tombs but doesnāt try and pick him up and take him in sooner
Thinks that one of the original 4 ninja is the green ninja when they are depicted on the prophecy alongside the green ninja (how would one of them be in two places?)
Thinks heās gonna die and then runs off alone to do so (when he was facing pythor and the great devourer). I mean I get that he was trying to save the ninja but like idk, I think the four of them wouldāve been able to handle a snake
Is literally the son of God but canāt afford rent somehow?? I thought you had lived for years and are also a war hero why are you broke is this because the tea addiction?
Always gives ninja lessons in riddles which is kinda a weird way to teach, and usually leaves them to fend for themselves (which I get is supposed to make them more independent but like Garmadon was a much better teacher imo, cuz he was a lot more present ig)
Never mentioned that Nya was a water elemental, or that he knew most of the ninjaās parents
Adopts a child but likeā¦ trains him to be a warrior. With good intentions sure, but I can just see Wu being like āwhat should I do with this weird childā¦. Hmmmā¦. Ninjaā¦..ā
Kicking Morro out, whilst he was pretty unstable. Like ig Wu didnāt have bad intentions again, itās just another example of him not thinking that through, because he basically disowned Morro
A lot of s7, just the facing Acronix alone, again never working out where Ray and Maya went, pretending to be crazy for reasons I canāt remember
Telling the ninja to get off their butts and start training despite Ninjago literally having zero crime rates (like I get it, itās good to stay sharp, but they also caused the conflict of the season just because they were rushing to pick a fight), being irritated for the first part of the season and then being kinda not useful for the next part, basically giving up after learning that aspheera stole Kaiās powers, and not telling the ninja that the travellers tea could not return them to Ninjago (I mean i guess his goal was to just live in the never realm with Zane, and by the end of it, the ninja didnāt give him a moment to say, but like, he still fell for it)
He was a kid, but like also him in the aspheera backstory, is shown to be a little less careful than Garmadon
Moping in s13. This is intentional but I think it still counts
All in all I think that these are okay mistakes to make but I like the idea that Wu really isnāt that wise, despite what the ninja think, heās more of the impulsive loner type (much like Kai actually, or even Lloyd). However, Garmadon is actually much wiser and mature, I mean, Garmadon got bit because he cared about being responsible and Garmadon was the one who warned about Aspheera. Itās actually endearing to Wu as an intellectually weaker character, as we see him turn to Garmadon when things go awry (like when Lloyd got kidnapped), and he can be very unsure of himself. Heās probably trying his best to fulfill his fatherās footsteps or even Garmadonās which makes him act like he knows what heās doing and that heās very intentional, when actually heās just trying his best and has no idea whether itās gonna work out. Idk I think itās an interesting characterisation of him that I think isnāt really noticed. But idk, thoughts?

ItĀ“s been a hot second since I last saw season 1 so I have absolutely no clue whether the whole Samurai X thing started before or after they took Lloyd in but for the sake of this comic, letĀ“s pretend that itĀ“s possible that Nya got the Samurai idea from Lloyd because I think itĀ“s cute

Also, I NEED more content of the Lloyd & Nya friendship specifically. Especially bc they must have such a special bond due to them both being left out or at least joining the "main 4" later on. I think even later when theyĀ“re both fully integrated in the team that theyĀ“re especially close and this never changes. IĀ“m sorry I am so emotional about them, these two mean so much to me AAAAHH
(Also sidenote: if anyone has recommendations for ninjago fanfics with little Lloyd or nice found family dynamics in general, pleeeeaaase drop them in the comments, I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER)
