I think it would be fun to go full out with “1001 Arabian Nights” orientalized fictional New York setting. It’s somehow always the 20s, and 80s and also contemporary. There’s depression era gangsters and Wall Street finance bros. Spider-man or the Teen Aged Mutant Ninja Turtles might show up. The Mayor is never named but is a constantly felt presence. Sometimes the World Trade Centres are there, sometimes they’re not.
Batman the animated series
Gotham City is in New Jersey
It actually varies. It's in NJ as of current comics, but there's a lot of times its in NY too, and even other states. See the wikipedia article for more.
For Batman the animated series specifically, it's in New York (mostly):
Gotham City is featured heavily in Batman: The Animated Series. When describing Gotham City Paul Dini, a writer and director of the show, stated, "In my mind, it was sort of like what if the 1939 World's Fair had gone on another 60 years or so".[61] In the episode "Joker's Favor", a driver's license lists a Gotham area resident's hometown as "Gotham Estates, NY". In the episode "Avatar", when Bruce Wayne leaves for England, a map shows Gotham City, at the joining of Long Island and the Hudson River. The episode "Fire from Olympus" shows a character's address in a police file indicating that Gotham City is located in New York state.
Also Gotham is famously a nickname for New York, so regardless of what state it's technically in, the NY connection is there.

Best things a female character can be are angry, violent and covered with blood.

I hate how nonbinary and trans intersex people are left out of trans discussion.
We can’t be sorted into TMA or TME easily, so people who use those labels tend to sort us based on our assigned sex.
Labels commonly used by intersex trans people are called useless.
Nonbinary people aren’t even included in trans rights posts half the time.
Intersex people are used as a way to prove that trans people exist.
Nonbinary people’s identities are disregarded and we are either considered basically just our assigned gender/sex, or basically a trans man/woman, depending on which thing makes us easier to hate or disregard.
It feels like binary and perisex trans people don’t give a shit about us, and it also seems like they don’t think the specific oppression we face is real. If they do, they don’t fucking talk about it.
Accepting and supporting trans people means accepting ALL trans people. Not just the binary ones, not just the perisex ones, not just the white ones, not just the abled ones, not just the ones you’re comfortable with. ALL OF US.
Talk about the lesser represented trans people, PLEASE. Talk about people with unconventional identities. You don’t support trans rights unless you support those of us with more complicated or conflicting identities.

i love nonbinary lesbians but i dislike how many people seem to have interpreted the increased cultural knowledge of them as ‘any nonbinary person in a relationship with a woman is a lesbian’. second only to my least favorite thing ‘a man and a nonbinary person dating is totally a straight relationship’

i’m not gonna lie the erasure of transmasculinity everywhere i turn is really starting to get to me lads. multiple characters that are either gnc or outright trans in their source material are being hyper feminized in their television adaptations. a cis lesbian lgbt historian’s video comes across my path and in it she asserts clearly that stormé delevarie is a cis woman, the comments all agreeing on what a wonderful womanly woman she was, no one does it like women do. another video someone with nearly two million followers posts a video essentially saying trans men don’t experience discrimination compared to trans women. it gets tens of thousands of likes. a video of a cis woman in support of trans people next, all the comments talking about how trans women must be women because they are oppressed like women are, i wonder what that makes me to them. two trans men dead this last month. another two trans men with their teeth broken from hate crime assault this week. one of them in a trans sanctuary state, in broad daylight, screaming out for help and everyone around him looks away. looking away. everybody is looking away. we are the thing in the corner of their eye that they would rather not see and what crime did we commit to be treated this way? are we truly seen as so pitifully grotesque for our harmless aberration from the female sex that it feels natural to pretend we are not there? that we were never there? i’m terrified. i’m terrified by what is going to happen to us in the silence. i wish i wasn’t.
