6 am games of overwatch are absolutely cursed. Not on the same way that Sunday night games are cursed, mind you, but in an unabashedly average/ higher than average skill level based toxicity can muster with ultra wide skill ranges. Anytime i queue in the morning the wait time can be 3 minutes or above and the longer the queue time ends up being the more volatile the quality becomes. I mean I've had games on damage where I'm the highest rank at gold 2 in a lobby of silver and bronze players and it feels like a training range. I've also had games on support against masters to champs and feel like im the bot in the lobby. I have to give credit to the skill rating system of overwatch because it really does a good job of measuring your skill comparatively to the rest of the community. Sometimes losing to a person who is GM damage humbled you in a way where you go "welp, I will never have that kind of mechanical ability" and realize that everything is fine here in the trenches.

It is hard to fathom days like today where something about the "how you feel in the moment" can be a bridge between old feelings and future memories. How the breeze stirs your soul at a specific moment in time that you remember happening in the past or fondly think about in the future. When those moments are so very different yet they linked together by a state of existence. And when you make those connections the line isn't always a straight one, it is usually from the perspective of a different person. More educated by life's challenges or still very naive.

The one thing about noise canceling head phones is i did not know there was an absolute wild storm happening outside. Torrential downpour even until I stepped outside to walk around and noticed that the lightning and thunder is going to make that a pretty difficult task beyond my covered porch.
