Help Rebuild The Book Thing of Baltimore
Hi, all. Some of you who have been following me closely for a while may recall that I am a huge fan of a place called The Book Thing, a warehouse in Baltimore, MD that gives away free books. Anyone, regardless of their socioeconomic background can go to The Book Thing and take books for free. This wonderful community resource is especially wonderful for people with low incomes and teachers who want to fill their inner-city classrooms with books for their students.
Unfortunately, The Book Thing was substantially damaged in a fire on March 2, leaving The Book Thing basically unable to operate until major repairs have taken place.
Please donate and help spread the word! Even donating $1 or setting your Amazon Smile charity to “Book Thing Inc.” can help make a difference.
If you live in or near Baltimore, you can also attend a trivia night at the Peabody Heights Brewery on March 10 hosted by the Abell Improvement Association to benefit The Book Thing.
Thank you for your kindness.
