This boba shop just opened in my hometown and they're witch themed and I felt the immense desire to make them a mascot or something. there will always be people who won't like you and you should learn how to accept that. additionally, you should also learn how to tell when people who don't like you are simply respectfully distancing themselves from you, and when they're being actively hostile and rude towards you for no reason, cuz one of those things isn't okay and it's important to recognize when it happens.
can someone explain to me the phenomenon of a person asking who my favourite music artists are and then when i reply with 'oh it's okay you won't know them' they insist on me telling them anyway and then when they don't know them they go 'oh 😐 I don't know them'. like 😭😭 if only someone could have warned you.
is there a real reason behind this that I'm missing? is it a social thing that i should know? I just can't keep saying 'well...... do you know anna bates or houndmouth or the donkeys or roadkill ghost choir or the 4411' and having people stare blankly at me because then I have no fucking idea what to say to that and how to continue the conversation. any tips?
met a really nice woman (and her tiny baby) this evening walking my dog, and she said she'd seen us around a lot but never knew if it would be okay to say hello ❤️🩹💔
very lucky to give her the opportunity to meet us all and confirm that we're friendly actually. we stopped and chatted about dogs for a while and then she asked if she could come with us on the walk for a while (which, please of course!) and she walked with us until her baby got tired. very blessed encounter.

Okay, I have a lot I need to vent, a lot worrying me, a lot I have to deal with, just a…..LOT.
With no flesh and blood person to talk things over with, the temptation is to write long posts for Tumblr, my pseudo friends.

After listening to my brother venting about AI woes with his job, when I started telling about things with me

lady: “I can’t complain.”
me: laughing, “That’s nice. I sure could!” lady: “Don’t. Nobody wants to hear your troubles.”
hmmm. Good advice.

(Fingers crossed I can drag myself out of this emotional pit before Saturday’s comic con. I want to feel I can go AND enjoy it while I’m there. )
