wow! as a broke college kid, i wish there was a way to access books and movies as well as scientific articles that the new administration isn't necessarily a fan of. man. If only there was a free and trusted vpn ( up to 10 gigs of downloadable data) to use in conjunction with an anonymizing router (also free up to 10 gigs) to safely, er, permanently borrow media in an untraceable way as well as share files. Man, what's that browser that keeps your online activity anonymous? I'm awfully attached to firefox, personally. If only i had a browser extension that would throw a smoke screen over my browsing data while blocking ads at the same time.

I'm using the app and my paragraphs move themselves. No I didn't want that *there* now my thoughts are put of order.

If I select a single word to italicize, it works... at first. Then it randomly decides no, you actually wanted the entire line emphasized right?

And then I can't "select all" if there are line breaks - because that would make too much sense

hey guys! i started playing this really fun game called VOID 1680 AM, by Bannerless Games on itch.io. it’s a game where you play as a radio host, generating playlists of music and “callers” with a pack of cards and a six-sided die.

i’ve done two “shows” so far, and i find it really fun! i decided i wanted to compile my shows into a kind of digital archive, so i made a sideblog for it.

the url is wwjd1518am, which is the fictional name and frequency of my show lol. i hope you will check it out and i hope to have my first two shows uploaded on there today!

AM radio is like literal magic. There is music all around us that we can't hear, and to hear it you just have to tap a crystal (diode) to the earth and listen to it with another magic rock (magnet) and a tin can. You dont even need electricity to make it work because this music around us is literally all the power you need. Oh and at night when the sun has set, the light of the day gets replaced by MORE music because the signals can travel further at night. This is magic. If you even care.

Fantasy worldbuilding: the other races consider humans deceitful and scheming to the core, and there is one example of human behavior that they name each time they warn their young: Humans poison trap their own food storages. Anyone who has been to human residences has seen it, somehow they all do it - to deter thieves, naturally, though some think it is also to avoid suspicion when poisoning a guest or visitor.

Only members of one's own household would know which meats have been rubbed with poisonous plants, and which bulbs grown in the garden will kill you. And they're all stored right next to the proper edible food! And the humans never mistakenly poison themselves this way, they are far too cunning to fall into their own traps.

If you ask a human about this, they will be baffled and insist they've never heard of this custom in their lives. While they may suppose that some other human cultures might do something so wicked, each one reassures asking visitors that their people do not do anything like that. And the truth is, they really don't. Not on purpose, at least.

It's just that humans are the only ones immune to garlic, mint, and many other plants and herbs that are poison to all the other races.
