Chloris becoming Flora 2017
Did this pretty lady last year. She is a mixed media of Water color, marker and colored pencil. I based her off of Chloris who married the Wind God Zephyr who then turned her into Flora, the Roman Goddess of Spring.
Vittoria 2018
Based on Italian Renaissance fashion. She is big eyed and elegant, graceful as she roams a cathedral or palace. She is contemplative, independent and yet beautifully poise. Like all my art characters, they are big eyed and independent, doing their own thing without gender roles holding them down :D

“Veronica” 2018 graphite pencil illustration. I wanted to create a female artist in a historical piece, and I love the rococo era. Artistry was seen as a man’s occupation until rather recently, and women had to do their art in secret or not at all. I am grateful to be able to express myself through art today!!

an art piece of mine from about a year ago! “Venus” is her title. I was inspired by Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus” painting. Venus was said to be born of the sea foam, was carried to shore on a beautiful seashell. My interpretation of her is a bit different, but thats the joy of art and creation!
My patrons on Patreon voted for what I should draw next and the zodiac series won! The Aquarius is finished for the start of the zodiac series! I really wanted to expand with ethnic groups, but was always afraid of white washing. I believe I captured the beauty of the Korean features in this piece. Â She is in a hanbok, a traditional Korean dress in the 19th-20th century style.
Aquarius is the water bearer, an air sign I do believe. Aquarius folk tend to be quite the thinkers, caught in their thoughts as deep as the oceans themselves. They are independent as well, never one to open up unless they truly trust someone. I drew this Aquarius holding a water pitcher, the constellation on the side. She pours the water, the liquid sloshing on her hand as a symbol of those deep emotions and thoughts that she would typically bottle up. Alas, it is a metaphor for her being open to the viewer, as if we are the few she can confide in.
