Mother pigs are severely confined in cages so small that they cannot move or even nuzzle their babies who have to squeeze through the bars in order to be able to touch their mother. The mothers have to stay almost motionless for months as they are continually impregnated to produce more piglets. Meanwhile, in the United States, the proposed Save Our Bacon Act would nullify existing laws that give pigs - thinking, feeling, sentient living beings - some more room to stand up and stretch their limbs. No one has to be vegan to recognize that the barbaric way that mother pigs are treated in the pork industry is exceedingly cruel. The pork industry is pushing to get this act passed so that it can raise profits at the expense of mother pigs. In the meat and dairy industries, mothers and their young are separated through bars and eventually removed from each other.

Make the switch to plant based dairy for a kinder world.

The most positive impact that we can make for the earth is to reduce/stop eating meat and dairy which is killing the planet.

How we spend our money is powerful. When we spend it on animal-based products, we encourage companies to continue these practices.

In the United States, the proposed EATS Act would intensely confine pigs - thinking, feeling, sentient living beings - to a life of small cages where they would not even have space to move.

What may be fun for us is not fun for them.

Cows do not produce milk because they are cows. They produce milk because they are mothers. But the dairy industry permanently separates the calf away from their mothers in order for the mother's milk to be given to humans instead. Humans are the only species that drinks milk from mothers of other species.
