Soooooo not dead, finally finished the next chapter, Iâm so sorry Iâve got like 27 hobbies and the more intense ones took over for like a year straight đ

Hereâs a little blurb if youâre interested:
King Dorephan did not seem concerned about being forgotten, âAfter all this time it is good to see you, we met many times!â His head tilted back, eyes closed in thought, âSuch good memories, you and my daughter got into all kinds of trouble and younglings do.â
âEr⌠yeah.â
A stunning and articulate reply. Really selling the champion spirit.
âI had heard rumors that you had fallen in battle! I am glad that those proved to be untrue.â
Wild raised a hand to wobble it back and forth, Warriors couldnât contain himself this time, quickly pushing the offending limb back to the otherâs side. He gave a quick shake to the negative when the owner of the limb side eyed him.
âWere you able to visit Miphaâs statue? I assume even if you have forgotten me, you remember your dear companion.â
Warriors met Wildâs frantic look head on this time, tilting his head towards the king. Tell him, donât look at me!
With the LU writers appreciation premiering, as I hand out mine I'll be posting them here! (This is the last gift!! Ty to all who have seen the other ones that I posted!! (I may or may not make a event link for them on my masterpost!))
This gift was for @anicyz
This one was such a joy to read, had to hold myself from bursting out laughing many times!
A link to the fic!

Angst idea: the chain are in a dungeon and get trapped in the last room. No boss. Just a door and the knowledge that only the person with the most innocent blood on their hands can open.
When the doors to the last room opened into a room that seemed empty, the heroes did not relax. Hyrule's hand reached to clutch his cross, but no enemies became visible.
The Old Man, looking through a lens, seemed to find the same. So did the Veteran, and the Rancher when he took a long sniff and frowned.
"Maybe it'll appear when the door behind us closes?" Four suggested, but the answering bang-click of the doors did not reveal anything.
"This is the last room, right?" Wind frowned, spinning around.
"Pretty sure."
Wild lifted his slate, using it for a light. "Writing on the wall- it's not any of mine."
At that, the others clustered around the Champion, trying to see. The back of Hyrule's left hand prickled as the words cleared in his mind.
"Lay the hand here most stained with blood, and guilty return to the light above."
He couldn't help a gasp.
"What does it say, Traveler?" Their Cook asked.
"It-" his mouth was dry.
Who here had the most innocent blood on their hands?
"I know what it says." Legend said, voice sharp in that dry, bristled, pained way.
He placed his left hand on the wall, and a blue light shimmered around it.
Then it faded.
And nothing else happened.
They waited, a few more breaths.
But nothing still.
"No." Legend said, lifting his hand and replacing it a moment later. There wasn't even a flash of light this time. "No- I did it. They were real. They were real!"
"Vet," Hyrule said, and hated how it sounded.
The Veteran took a few steps back, but his hand was still up. Shaking.
His eyes looked like Wild's when he was remembering something.
The Rancher must have thought so too, moving to his side.
"Is this about her?" Twilight asked, soft as his fur pelt.
Legend gave a single sharp nod, then turned away.
"Ok." Twilight said, and then put his hand on the wall next.
"Wait!" Hyrule started, but it was too late.
A flash of blue light, and then nothing.
"Traveler, what does it say?" The Captain asked.
"It says," Hyrule swallowed, "it says to put the hand of the person with the most blood on it there, to reveal the door up and out."
Twilight removed his hand from the wall like it was on fire.
Some of the others looked at Legend, some looked at the door, the words.
"Oh, well, then that's simple." The Captain stepped forward, tugging off his glove.
"Wars..." Twilight said softly, but didn't move to stop him.
"Exactly. War of eras and all, from my arrogance." Wars kept his voice light as he put his hand on the stone, but his shoulders were tense, chainmail clinks giving him away.
Blue light.
Nothing.
He stepped back, a flash of confusion in his face before relief. He tried to hide it by looking down to return his glove.
The Smithy was next, squinting at the wall. "I- I did some things, to sneak into the enemy camp and try to discover Vaati's plans."
"A spy?" Wars asked.
"Yeah." Four's voice was thicker as he put his hand on the wall but, once more, just blue.
He was even more confused as he stepped back.
Everyone looked at Wild, Time, Wind, Sky, and Hyrule.
Hyrule, Sky, Wind, Time and Wild looked at each other.
The air felt heavy down here now. Hyrule usually loved a good cave, exploring dungeons, but now it all felt so claustrophobic.
"Um, well, I'm a pirate so-" Wind put on a brave face and slipped under Wars' arm, slapping his hand on the stone.
The same blue.
Hyrule glanced to the side walls. They weren't closer than they'd been a second ago, right?
"A hundred years." Their Champion said, resigned.
Blue.
"Told you that the Calamity was Ganon's fault, not yours." Twilight pulled him back, and Hyrule realized it.
Of course.
Ganon.
"Guys?" He said, and it felt like his voice was echoing around the cave, not coming from his mouth. "There's something you should know."
"Traveler-"
"No, really, you should. Especially if we ever land in my era. My- The thing is- Ganon. His life is in my veins. His resurrection is in me. I sealed him there when I killed him, and when I die - he'll return. So of course, he's spilled the most blood here."
The room was so cold, too. It almost made the stone wall feel warm against his fingers as he pressed his hand to it.
Blue.
Huh.
Hyrule frowned, and tried the other hand- he's pretty sure that's what Ganon had used his trident with, years ago.
Nothing.
"You're not Ganon, Traveler." The Old Man said.
"But he-"
"You're not."
"Yeah, we'd need one his hooves here, or something." Legend agreed, nodding and sounding more sure of himself but he- he was still so pale.
"Sailor," Time said, stepping around them, "you never did tell us how your world became flooded, when we spoke of the time between all our eras."
Wind spun around, Hyrule wondered if he hurt his neck.
"What- but- yes I did! It's been that way long as anyone can remember!"
"Yes. And the only difference between the time that happens, and the time it doesn't," The Old Man gave a look to Twilight, "is me. I return home, and when I do, the sword was never drawn, the war never happened, the oceans never rise. But in your time... All those things did."
He lay his hand on the wall.
For an eight time, blue light filtered around the fingers.
Hyrule furrowed his brows, then turned to Sky.
So did everyone else, apparently, and Sky stepped back, eyes wide.
"No." Time said, decisive. "No, there's something else."
He reached into his bag and grabbed something, but the Rancher moved in a blink, practically pouncing the older hero and gripping the man's arm, uncaring of the armor.
"Twi."
Hyrule didn't know how Time kept himself so steady, so stern. Twilight was supposed to be calm, he'd always taken care of them. But now he looked frantic.
Now, he looked angry.
"Time, no, if- that isn't you, it doesn't count, just like with the Traveler."
"I know." Time's voice stayed flat. "Not my hands. But I need to give him hands of his own for this, don't I?"
"No, that's too dangerous. You can't do that to yourself."
"Is there another way out?"
Click.
The sound of stone grating pulled Hyrule's eyes away from the squabbling leaders to the wall.
The wall, where stones were sliding aside to reveal a door.
The wall, where Sky had his hand, surrounded now with a red light.
The glow caught the tears in his eyes before he turned and it faded, door swinging out on it's own.
Sunlight, past stairs, steamed down.
But nobody made a move towards it.
"Sky..." Wind spoke first, very very small.
"What did you do?" Wars asked next, and that blew the whole thing open.
"Are you serious, Captain-"
"Well we might need to know-"
"Stop!" Four snapped louder. "No. He doesn't have to tell us. We agreed to that, with secrets, didn't we?"
Sticky shame clung around Hyrule's neck, and it took him too long to nod.
"Right. So let's drop it and go."
More nods.
But still, no one moved. Like their boots were all set on the stone.
"It's alright, Four, thanks." Sky's voice was hoarse, too hoarse. "But it makes sense, doesn't it? The only thing that, apparently, changed what happened after your era," he looked up at Time, "is the Master Sword, you drawing it. Wielding her. And I'm the one who forged that blade. So it's my fault."
There wasn't a sound in the dungeon room, except maybe Hyrule's racing heart.
"No." Legend said. "No, that's a bunch of pigshit, Sky, that's not your fault at all! Or hers! That's not fair!"
But life wasn't fair.
Sky just shook his head. "No. You really should blame me anyways. Not her. I just wasn't fast enough to realize. You all... Yeah." With that, he finally stepped foot over the threshold, and began up the stairs.
It was very quiet and very still behind him, that guilt heavy enough to keep weighing Hyrule's shoes down. The others down too, it must have, for how they trudged out to follow Sky.

Chapter 7 is at last, posted for Speed Run at Your Own Risk! Please enjoy the excerpt below the cut and maybe check out the entire fic!
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the
Organization for Transformative Works
Any further discussion cut off as Wild, drenched both from the ocean and the sky, stumbled up to them, seaweed hanging around his shoulders like an especially slimy shawl.
âGuys, you wonât believe this! I found this cool weapon you swing and stuff! Like, it's not really a stabby thing itâs more of a⌠a⌠a wham type thing! See you justâ!â
Hyrule ducked as Wildâs new weapon soared through the space his head had previously occupied. He jumped back as it came around a second time, âHey!â
âI could win so many fights with this!â
Next to him, Four started laughing, Hyrule fought a smile until he caught the look in Wildâs eyes as he stuttered momentarily before continuing his ramble.
âIt would give me a longer reach! I could just knock 'em all over and, and, ahâŚâ
Continued laughter had the wind slowly falling out of his sails, the light in his eyes flickering. Hyrule considered the feasibility of killing the hero of the four swords without potentially destroying a timeline somewhere. Not that they didnât toe that line every time they stepped into battle on this quest.
Luckily for Fourâs heart and attached body parts, the sodden hero rallied quickly. However, Wildâs solution was to start making dramatic whooshing sounds to drown out Fourâs merriment in lieu of saying anything else complimentary about his weapon.
Hyrule sighed and held a hand out to stop the âdeadliest thing this side of Hyruleâ, âI hate to be the bearer of bad news,â He tugged at the wood in his grasp, âBut an oar is not exactly a high grade weapon.â
Four took a breath, whipping a tear from his eye, âItâs not made to be a weapon at all, you use it for-â
âTell that to the Calamity and my nine wooden branches then!â
It was at this point in the conversation that Twilight, Sky, and Wind came into hearing range. âAlright I was going to give you good news, but now I just want to know what nine wooden branches and the Calamity have to do with anything.â
Wild held out his oar, not even a proper oar as it was too short. âIâm going to conquer the world with this.â
âThatâs a paddle.â
âWeâve been trying to tell him, Rancher, but heâs invested.â
Sky, it seemed, couldnât help but root for the underdog in the situation. âWith his track record he could probably make it work?â
âAre you asking me or telling me?â
The conviction could only last so long, âDefinitely asking.â
âThe betrayal,â Wild tucked his only friend to his chest, âSlandered in my own home.â
âYou donât live here.â Four chimed in.
âI canât believe youâd doubt me and the best weapon Iâve ever held.â
i wish platonic cuddling was a thing. just wrapping your bodies around as a gentle act of compassion and the willingness to help keep each other warm and safe in the embrace? it's so pure. cuddled up in groups? beautiful. cuddling to help each other sleep? cuddling just because you appreciate non sexual platonic human touch? i feel it's highly underrated?? i am a fairly socially isolated person coming from a more conservative society so idk if this really exists in other parts of the word. but seriously summon this.
Such a vibe. It is a thing tho! Iâve got two wonderful friends who let me cuddle the heck out of them any time I see them. If Iâm lying down one will just flop on top of me and crush my soul back into my body, itâs quite nice! All of our hang outs usually end with at least 1 hour of cuddling in a bed with all of the pillows cause thatâs more comfy, like a nest or something.
I will say I think most people do it more in private where I am cause when Iâm with them and weâre cuddling in public most people think weâre a thruple or something.

Thanks for the tag, Twili!
Hmm, what was the last line I wrote?
Apparently this. It's technically more than one line but it didn't feel right to split it up?
"By the time he was a year old we thought that everything would be all right now.â He wrapped his arms around himself, staring off into the fire.
âWe thought everything would be all right.â
@skyward-floored @anadorablekiwi @bokettochild @skyloftian-nutcase and @anyone who wants to do this! (no pressure to anyone who doesn't want to though <3)
Oof, hold on while I grab my only and possibly abandoned ficâŚ..
âAnd on that note, Hyrule curled up, slipping into sleep himself, his snack falling out of his hand as all of his muscles relaxed into his nest of pillows.â
Oh, goddessâŚ.I donât know that many people!!! Why am I such a verbose writer???

Gotta stay out of the tags now that the Wild is Dink theories are pouring in again. People say Wild looks kind of suspicious and eh, I just don't see it. I just think he just knows he did good back there.
Time just gave him one of his âyou did goodâ pats and wildâs lil speech lightened the mood considerably of everyone in the room. Ofc heâs gonna smile
I agree that heâs not Dink. Heâs coming back from possibly endangering the others in battle, walking on eggshells with Wars because of that, and then blowing up and running off from Four. Also his brother is dying. You know, the normal Tuesday. Heâs done his little awkward hereâs gifts as an apology followed by clearly trying to be oh so very normal about this. Heâs also one of the few who DIDNâT cry this update.
At this point I think heâs running on automatic and another breakdown, this time with tears, is not out of the question.
