rereading your own fics/wips is a very slippery slope into finding out you actually have to finish your fics if you want them finished
hey you all. I am sorry fics have been so slow! I’ve moved back home for the summer to help family for a few months and have been driving back and forth between towns for weeks to help with moving and taking care of people. I promise I will be doing my best to write soon! I have a trip to take my sibling to college coming up this weekend, and work starting back up again, but i’m hoping things settle…hopefully…
anyway thank you all for your patience you all are so lovely <3
One of the best things about being a writer is thinking of something small you can add to your work that’s just. Devastating. Like you’re sitting there going. Oh. That would be diabolical. People would get really riled up about that. Exquisite. Let’s do it.

Yelena’s guilt doubled the second she opened the door.
They looked so comfortable together. Bob’s head was rested against the top of John’s left pec, John’s arm wrapped around his shoulders. His eyes were only half open, tangled curls falling in them like he was too sleepy to care.
“Hey.” Bob sat up when he saw Yelena, gently rolling out of John’s grasp. He opened his own arms, fingers waving to invite Yelena over. She lingered in the doorway, unable to shake the feeling that she was intruding. “Lena. C’mere.”
Every hesitation Yelena felt dissipated the second she sank into Bob’s embrace. She sat on her knees in front of him, arms snaking around his strong back. Bob’s hug was warm, tight but gentle, and so perfectly comforting.
“I’m proud of you,” Bob muttered, right hand rubbing gentle circles into Yelena’s spine. “I’m proud that you asked for support instead of drinking.”
“It’s hard,” whispered Yelena. She pressed her forehead against Bob’s shoulder, fingers clinging to the back of his shirt. “I hate this.”
Bob squeezed her tighter and let out a long exhale before he said simply, “I love you,” and there was nothing Yelena could say to argue with that.
