“I’m wearing a hat gifted by the owner of Chocolate Factory in 2023, scarf by Parade, pearl necklace and bracelets, leopard print dress by Milea, button up by Stafford, white vintage gym bag, and neon green Nike trainers. Currently what inspires me is my love of culture as an Afro Caribbean native New Yorker and my womanly right to transformation.“

“I am wearing a 60s shift dress from Other People’s Clothes and a suede fringe jacket and clogs from L Train. Along with the jewelry, the whole outfit is thrifted except for the tights. The bolo tie is from a lady on Brighton Beach. My style is inspired by my art (and vice versa) which draws from the fantastical world up in my head, using a lot of jewel tones, pastels, and layering. My style is also heavily influenced by the music I listen to, which usually spans from old folk and country, to psychedelic rock and punk.”

She wore them the summer she was pregnant with my sister. They’re one of the first things I stole from her closet. And a Bonnie Cashin Coach bag from Beacon’s Closet. I am inspired by summer! It’s the season for haphazard dressing, throwing on whatever, mixing colors. Wearing underwear as outerwear. Grocery store sunglasses, flip flops, pajama pants, bikini tops. It’s an anything goes time of year and it’s endlessly inspiring.”
