“I’m finally quitting my job today. So this is my “Quit-Outfit”. If anyone is hiring, I am your girl! I’m wearing a thrifted sheer turquoise top from Koas. Layered with a black top from Gap. Everyone’s wearing Gap. Gap is back. But it also never left. My skirt is a thrifted Anthropologie skirt. My shoes are thrifted Ecco shoes. My purse is Vera Pelle, also thrifted. My rings are all vintage, my favorite one is the sliver one from Russia that my mother used to wear in her 20s. It’s my good luck charm. The closest people in my life inspire to be fearless in the way I dress and express myself. On my first day of high school I wanted to wear Zebra patterned pants but was scared I’d freak out the school. My older sister told me being freaky was good. From that moment on, I decided that getting dressed is all about how good it feels to freak the people out.”

“I’m wearing a vintage girl scout jacket that even has a name tag and it belonged to a Barbra Hould (which I love to thing that I’m celebrating her and all her patches that she earned!) , bubble pants, a vintage knitted flower hat, and a vintage 80s clown purse. I love interesting, quirky, and eclectic pieces that are one of a kind. I worked at a wonderful vintage store in Texas and started collecting vintage garments and hats for the last 5 years. I absolutely love hats and wear one everyday! I also love color and wearing clothes that make me happy to put on everyday and inspire others to express their individuality through the way that the dress. Since mostly everything I wear is vintage and second hand I like to think about the fabulous people who owned these pieces before me and enjoy the idea that I get to give them a new home!”

I styled it with a vintage yellow prairie skirt, a blue jacket that I got from Rent the Runway sample sale that I replaced the buttons on, my Rilakkuma bag that I bought from a local business in Astoria, my signature buckle flats, and my kookiest pair of sunglasses that I bought at the Rose Bowl flea market in California. To this day, I’m still so heavily inspired by the soft grunge aesthetic from my Tumblr days (2012-2013). I also love playing with color blocking, pattern mixing, and layering.”
