And yet you let me hold you in this dream.

That I love you, so that you'd leave knowing it.

Mother Night doesn't take rejection kindly, and so what if she decided to....wipe her favorite son's memories and turned him into an obedient puppet?

Well, the ungrateful, selfish child needed a lesson or two for disobeying Mother anyway.

This is a mother's love. And you don't get to say no to them.

The Corinthian grinned at the mirror, pleased by his neat appearance. How could he say no when his darling begged him so nicely to be saved from a bad man?

To be perfectly honest, it's been irritating the whole time Dream whined in Corinthian's head about this..particular immortal human. How many times Dream seek out an excuse to get away from the man's useless chatter? He'd been the one to ask this Robert person to meet each century.

The real problem is his pride wouldn't just let him back out that easily.

Once the revelation is out that the immortal man got involved in slavery, Dream decided it's enough, enough to require his assistance- no, he could just walk out by himself. Dream is charitable to give Corinthian the opportunity to be the knight in the shadow that he is.

If playing the role of a possessive, cruel, narcissistic fiancé made his Lord happy, then so be it.

It surely wouldn't cause any unnecessary trouble in the upcoming future at all.

Dream of The Endless is infamously known for spoiling the Corinthian rotten, the residents thinks he goes too far when the Dreamlord himself giving away one of his eye just because his masterpiece won't stop demanding to have some part of his power. Accusing him of spoiling the Nightmare though, will anger him enough to unmake you.

or what people called Dream of The Endless version of Hell is a place for creations of the dreaming that went broken beyond repair, whether they're too injured to be fixed (which is usually not the case because as a Creator, that is Dream's natural gift, to fix. Some occasion, like The Corinthian being the rogue nightmare who will never listen, who can never be fixed, Dream tossed them into the abyss like he's just a disposable property.

Not even Dream himself ever witnessed his creation walking out from the abyss all his life (and he lived for billion of years), not until The Corinthian.

Prompt: Corrupted

was a dream creature fallen from grace made by the Nightmare King Corinthian.

He brings out shame and regret in any being that dreams. He inspire stars to die out, humans— to give into despair, ants— for them to walk into the spiral of death.

He consumes your hope dry, crushing your dreams beneath his heel. The knife on his hand—on the contrary, wasn't meant to hurt the dreamers but himself.

Dream learning to be a menace with modern technology is the best xD
