A collection of drabbles and short stories about Vash and my OC Angel. Everything from friends to lovers to an established relationship in various stages The canon verse or various modern verses. Can be headcanons on their relationship or just snippets of their life. Set in Trimax, 98, or Tristamp. Each story can be set in either one unless stated otherwise.

This is a prequel to my Sengoku Basara fic. It cover when Masamune and Yume first meet. Enjoy!

* = things in history that I decided to change for the sake of the fic but will be revealed later in the main story.

She was staying at a cute little village for the time being. She worked alongside the farmers to earn her stay. She hadn’t worked a hard day in her life but she was getting used to it. They gave her a small, one-room house, more of a hut, to stay in. And they didn’t ask any questions. For that, she was thankful.

That afternoon, she was working the fields alongside an older woman. This woman and her husband had made sure she was taken care of and settled when she first arrived and she taught her the basics of working in the field. It was so hard but she had to try. She would feel bad if she didn’t help the people of this village after all their kindness.

She stood up and wiped her hands on her yukata, then wiped the sweat away on her forehead. The other woman smiled at her. “We’re almost done, sweetie. You can go and relax until we’re done.”

“What? No, I’d feel bad,” Yume shook her head. “I just need a small break. I’ll be back to working in a-”

She stopped when she heard rumbling approaching. It sounded like a bunch of horses galloping. She looked at the woman, questioning her, but she smiled slightly and went back to work. Soon enough, a couple of horses carrying soldiers dressed in blue ran past the field. Soon after, a whole group of them followed. There was one man that particularly caught Yume’s attention. His black horse was decked out with these strange metal decorations and he rode with his arms crossed over his chest, not using his hands. At his hips were six swords, decorated to look like wings or fins. And on his head was a basic kabuto helmet but adorning the front of it was a large, golden, crescent moon. Granted, the rest of the men had a unique sense of style but his man was clearly the center of attention. As he passed the field he looked over and made quick eye contact with Yume. He smirked and Yume saw that he only had one eye, the other covered by what looked to be a tsuba of a katana. And, hate to sound cliche, but it seemed like time slowed down for Yume until he looked away and kept riding.

Chapter 3 takes place during episode 3 of the Samurai kings anime.

Chapter 3

Yume sat on a deck underneath an awning, watching as Masamune practiced with his sword alone in his hakama set. Ever since they returned home, he’s been acting weird. In fact, ever since that incident with Imagawa, he hasn’t been the same. He’s been so quiet.

After standing in that spot in the rain for some time, Masamune returned to Yume at the treeline. He was silent as he approached her and stayed silent as he noticed her pile of sick next to her. Quietly, he mounted his horse and began to make his way back to his army, causing Yume and Kojuro to scramble to their own horses to keep up.

Once reunited with his men, he answered no questions and just ordered them to make their way back to Oshu. He rode silently, Kojuro and Yume flanking him as usual.

“Lord Masamune! Lord Masamune!” Yume tried to get his attention but to no avail. Instead, she turned her attention to Kojuro. “Who was that man?”

“That man was the Devil King of the Sixth Heaven, Oda Nobunaga,” Kojuro answered, his voice serious.

“That was Oda Nobunaga?” Yume replied, surprised. Even before joining Masamune, she had heard horror stories about the man. She glanced back over to Masamune before turning her attention back to Kojuro. “What are we going to do?”

Silence fell over the three of them before Kojuro answered. “I don’t know.”

Decided to write a prequel to A Rose and It’s Thorns to show how it all began.

Story summary: Mayumi and Kurama, early in their friendship, are walking home from school when things go south.

“Well, I’ll see you on Monday, Shuichi. Have a nice weekend,” Mayumi said, waving goodbye to her once project partner, now friend as they went their separate ways while walking home.

“Yes, you too,” Shuichi, or rather Kurama, said waving after her. It felt nice to have someone like this in his life again. Ever since Maya, he’s been careful with making friends but when he first met Mayumi, he knew something was different. Her family, the Mikazaki clan, had been demon hunters for ages. And if he was right, he sensed that she was strong too. He planned to tell her the truth. Eventually. Mayumi herself knew something was different with him too. She just couldn’t place it. He had suppressed his demonic energy around her but she still sensed something.

Speaking of sensing something, she sensed a demonic presence approaching her once Shuichi left. She kept walking, reaching over to fiddle with the silver bracelet on her left wrist. Once it got close, she stopped walking and glanced over her shoulder.

Chapter 2

The Date army was quickly approaching the Imagawa army from the rear. Masamune let out a hearty laugh before the army basically plowed through the other, sending men flying.

“‘Kay, boys! ARE YOU READY?” Masamune shouted from the front, preparing to attack. His men sent out a rallying shout in response and Yume couldn’t help but grin at their enthusiasm from her spot behind him and beside Kojuro. Masamune then drew one of his swords. “HERE WE GO!”

“Now! Break!” Kojuro signaled to the army. At that command, the army split into three parts. Each half of the men circled around a small portion of the Imagawa army while Masamune and Kojuro went right through the middle. Yume did as she was told back when they went over the plan and took to the outermost edge of one half and then split off to the side. Close enough to see the action but far enough away to be safe.

Another piece that has been in the works for a few years and I finally did the thing. So much research went into this and there’s even some hints to Ikemen Sengoku eventually.

Chapter 1

She climbed the hill with one lone cherry blossom tree up top. The chest armor she was made to wear as a precaution was long gone, lying below the hill where the rest of the men were prepping for the next day but honestly, most of them were drinking and partying. They asked her to join them but she politely declined. Now she was just in her light blue kimono. This wasn’t her scene. Besides, she was more concerned with the man in azure sitting under the tree. At first, he was watching the impromptu festivities alone, his own drink in hand, but soon he was joined by the man he trusted the most. She wanted to leave them be but she just wanted to check up on him. He got kind of “riled up” earlier today.

As she approached the tree, it seemed like the two men were talking strategy on what to do next. Today wasn’t a total loss but it definitely didn’t go as planned. She stopped, leaning against the tree and allowing the two to finish their conversation before she asked to join them.

“-if I had to give it a name: The Woodpecker Maneuver.”

“That does sound like a pretty fun game. Count me in, Kojuro.”

The two men looked at each other and smirked as Masamune took a sip from his drink. Kojuro seemed to notice her first, turning to glance at her and giving her a faint smile. Soon after, Masamune also turned to look to see what Kojuro was looking at and gave her a smirk. She blushed. She didn’t realize she was staring until now.

Chapter 3: After the Shadow Sword

Mayumi has noticed Kurama acting weird again today. Every now and then he would wince and more than once she had caught him holding his stomach. He had promised to take her to see his mother after school so she figured she would ask him on the way there. Maybe it was just a stomach ache, his body catching up to him from all the stress he’s been through these past few days. But something told Mayumi it was more than that.

The two were walking in comfortable silence when Mayumi knew it was time to strike. She pretended to lose her footing, quickly bumping into him as they walked. This caused Kurama to wince.

Chapter 2: The Night After the Forlorn Hope

As soon as Mayumi got home, she ran up to her room to cry. Her parents, concerned, asked what was wrong and she just said that she was going through something with a friend and they left it at that. What could she tell them? That her best friend who’s actually a demon is going to die to the recently stolen Forlorn Hope to save his human mom? They would flip out due to more than one reason. So instead, she took to her room and cried alone, mourning the would-be loss of her friend.

However, they were more than friends now, right? They just got their true feelings out in the open. And it was too late. Mayumi knew it was Kurama’s way of saying goodbye, of leaving her with one last bit of knowledge about it, but she secretly resented him for it. Why couldn’t he have said something sooner? Or just not at all? She guessed he didn’t want to leave things unknown between them.

She didn’t even bother to change out of her uniform as night came and the tears only came harder as she saw the full moon rising. He was gone, or he was going to be leaving soon.

I’ve been meaning to write an OC insert into the Yu Yu Hakusho anime for years now and I finally got around to it! A reader version is coming shortly.

Chapter 1: Before the Forlorn Hope

Kurama has been acting differently today. He has had this sad and faraway look all morning. Mayumi was concerned. Every time she looked over at him, trying to get some eye contact, his eyes were always looking dead ahead. She wondered if he was even looking at the board.

Lunchtime finally came around and Mayumi was at his side in an instant.

“Shuichi, what’s wrong?” she asked, using his human name. “You’ve been acting strange all day. Stranger than usual.”

Story summary: Shortly before Kurama's fight with Karasu, Karasu catches up to you and Kurama attempting to intimidate you two. For you, it becomes too much.

You held your tough exterior at least until Karasu was out of sight. When he was, you let out a quiet sob, focusing on the ground. Kurama had heard it and turned to you, attempting to place a hand on your arm.

“Hey, are you alright?” he asked but you didn’t answer. Instead, you turned and ran for the exit, hiding your face as you did so.

You shouldn’t have joined him to watch the match. It only made you sick to your stomach to see all five members of that team killed so easily. And Kurama seemed determined to fight Karasu who so easily defeated his opponent and snuck up on Kurama just now, close enough to touch him. Not many things scared you but this upcoming match did.

You didn’t stop running once you were outside and instead ran to the treeline. Once you felt like you had run enough, you stopped, leaning against a tree.

Recently got back into Yu Yu Hakusho and I dug up this piece I wrote years ago!

Chapter 2 is finally up! That’s all on me. I’ve been super busy but chapter 3 won’t take as long to get out.

Story summary: Loki is still trying to prove to his people (and perhaps to himself) that he actually is capable of doing good, dedicating himself to finding lost artifacts of Asgard that were left on Earth. Instead, he may have accidentally found something - someone - worth much more to him than an artifact.

“What the fuck?! ”

Loki leaped back, nearly colliding with his desk in shock. He stopped himself before he disturbed the figurine, but his eyes stayed locked on the intruder cowering next to his refrigerator.

“Who the hell are you?” he growled, drawing seidr to his hands, glowing green disks forming in his palms. He took three steps toward her, prepared to throw whatever necessary to keep her from running out of here and alerting the authorities of his presence.

“Whoa, whoa!” Lillium stood, raising her hands to show she was defenseless and didn’t mean to harm him. “I-I’m the woman you bumped into on the sidewalk. I suppose I let my curiosity get the best of me…” She smiled nervously. “Y-you’re Loki, right? You’re the one that attacked New York,” she couldn’t help the star-struck expression on her face as she spoke. “My name is Lillium. I’m sorry for following you. I-I just had to know…”

As she trailed off, she couldn’t help but peer over at the golden figure on his desk. “Wow… That’s beautiful…”
