I had a dream that @draconym was protecting me from Hannibal Lecter, who was like... a demonic force that would attempt to possess you, but only when you were alone. We were trapped in the woods while Hannibal tried to wait us out, and the only way to drive him off was to guess his True Name, Rumplestiltzkin style.

“It’s Skarsgård, isn’t it?” I whispered. “I think he’s played by one of the Skarsgård brothers. Bill? Stellan? Is he the Mamma Mia brother or the IT brother? I can’t keep them straight.”

“Isn’t there a third Skarsgård?” Mel asked.

“Oh, god, I don’t know. Is there?” I put my head in my hands, desperate. “There’s the dancing guy, what’s his name—Walken! Christopher Walken. But that’s not this Hannibal.” (Awake Time Note: Christopher Walken is not Anthony Hopkins and there are apparently at least four Skarsgard brothers)

We went back and forth while I became increasingly distressed that I couldn’t remember anything about the actor who plays Hannibal except that he was Swedish, all while the spectral taunting ghost of Mads Mikkelsen taunted me for the fact that I’m just as Swedish as I am Macedonian, so why do I never talk about it, and shouldn’t I feel a sense of ethnic kinship with him, and when am I going to get around to reading Dhalgren, the sci fi book with a Swedish surname?
