iāve been dealing with a lot of things this summer, but what iāve mostly been doing is iāve tried to forward my studies, and iām doing okay with that.
on the other hand, iāve been dissociating a lot and i didnāt really enjoy anything i used to love for a long time, but iām slowly getting back to feeling like myself again. most importantly iāve been feeling a connection to music again, which has been very comforting.
iāve also noticed that some people want me when they are scared of being lonely and theyāll say anything to have me, but make me feel lonely and like a bad person while doing so, meanwhile others make me feel loved even in my hardest times. those are the soulmates.
i have vastly different handwriting when iām making clean notes vs. when iām frantically writing down lyrics i made up in the shower at 11 pm

There is this lady on the train - I see her most mornings, who is almost always with a book in her hand. Sheās aroundā¦40 years old, maybe? The really cool thing is that she reads YA (this morning, she was reading a book in the Septimus Heap series, I saw her reading Holes a while ago).Ā And she is so chill about it, just enjoying her book, reading literally until the train has stopped in the station. And I think thatās fantastic, because weāre so hell bent on labeling everything in our lives, including things related to reading (youāre an adult, so you should read only adult books, you should be reading more classics, you should not read things that are simpler), that weāre forgetting that weāre supposed to do whatever makes us happy. And if reading YA/childrenās literature/middle grade makes us happy, we should just do it.

to mention even one Diana Wynne Jones, whom iāve read in my twenties despite her having written mostly childrenās fiction

the way Brunilla just accepts that Einar has wings reminds me of Luna Lovegoodās innocence and that is something that i admire at the moment very much. the ability to accept the things around you is unique and valuable.
iām very happy i read this book this autumn. iāve added to my inner world with every book iāve read this year, i think. and this is very special to me.

i canāt even begin to describe what i feel i my soul when i can spend the morning reading about the Middle Ages and drinking my coffee on the balcony. the fact that weāve had renovations on our building and havenāt been able to use our balconies for 8 months only adds to this almost spiritual feeling i get when iām able to just enjoy myself here
iāve said this many times before, this has been a very long year. but iām really only now realising itās almost over. hereās to hoping these last 2 months will bring kindness and energy to all of us
