searching for serafim: the life and legacy of serafim "joe" fortes by ruby smith díaz - short but necessary. i appreciate the author's emphasis on the unknowns and silences in the archive when it pertains to racial violence and how that has shaped how serafim has been remembered in this city. he was a complicated man and that comes through so clearly in this text
