wellington is a long drive from auckland and i don’t think that hero spent the entire ride crying but what if she pulled up and looked through the window and saw all her friends (bea especially) having that pillow fight and looking so happy and she couldn’t stand the thought of going in and ruining that happiness with the news about leo and so she just sat in her car for a while, trying to delay the inevitable for the sake of the people she loves and crying quietly to herself about how the happiness through the window is so tangible but it can’t quite reach her and what are you talking about i’m not crying you’re crying
