Raise up, Raise down. Acrylic on Canvas. 🌻 🌻 🌻 🌻 🌻 🌻 🌻 🌻 🌻 “Quick” explanation: I wanted to draw these words because I feel that to really have a change there has to be a balance between the two. The person on the left represents the capability of humans to do good and have innovative ideas (the brain is transforming into a coral reef and into an imaginative creation which are the flowers that are grabbing onto the clouds in the atmosphere) that person is also looking down at the stairs to show that we can’t only raise up because we have to understand that there are many other species living here, not just us. The corals and the brain represent the similarities between nature and humans. Then, the person on top is speaking up to motivate people like the one in the left. She is also speaking up for the damage that we are making but she’s very energetic because she has hope. It mostly about balance; the main point is the solution to climate change (rising up and down/motivating others/speaking up/being innovative) but it also has to do with my personality and the different faces/characteristics of people that makes us all unique.
