okay so this is a bit of a complicated question (not in a bad way)!

because we all want the girls to be together and realistically there's only so many words, it's a lot easier to portray all three of them falling at the same time or two of them already being established and falling for the other one.

statistically speaking a relationship like this highly improbable (it can happen but it is very very very unlikely) but this is also fiction! so i wouldn't say any of them are a bad polyam dynamics.

as far as fics that showcase more realistic polyam dynamics, two of the ones i would guide you to are:

"being a bitch is my kink" by @yanniest shows mira's interest in wanting to date zoey separately from what rumi wants, and also treating their sex as equivalent to establishing a dating dynamic (just because they all slept together once doesn't mean they don't want to take zoey out individually)

"counter punch" by @thepointofnotexisting though rumi and mira are dating, zoey's relationship with each of them happens individually and at their own pace
